The Rising Of The Shield Hero “Infinite Labyrinth” Review
The Rising Of The Shield Hero “Infinite Labyrinth” is the seventh episode from season 2 of the Rising Of The Shield Hero anime. Following their step into a new world at the end of episode 6 . Naofumi, Rishia and Raphtalia (who’s back to her usual small self) all arrive in the new world, now back to level 1. After a bit of training they bump into Kazayama Kizuna, wielder of the hunting legendary weapon. She explains that the area they’re in is a closed off area that’s an infinite labyrinth and that she’s been there alone for years. Showing Naofumi and Co the area she thinks is the end of the labyrinth, Naofumi finds a way to blast through to the other side using a Bio Plant Seed. Turns out Kizuna was right and that was the end of it as they’re back in the world she was summoned to as soon as the area is destroyed.
Kizuna the Lonely Hunter
Kizuna is best friends with L’arc and Glass which naturally makes Naofumi distrust her, she even assumes the worst herself when she sees just how much the mention of their names annoys Naofumi, again Naofumi shows just how much he’s grown over the years though and is pretty quick to accept that Kizuna isn’t there to hurt him or his friends. I dunno if trust is the way to put it but he does go out of his way to protect her the same way he does for every one of his own friends. I’m hoping that Kizuna can act as a sort of bridge between the group, something they can all agree they care about and want to protect, ending the fighting between them, but that’s way way way in the future.
This was a great episode, it’s the beginning of a new arc that has a ton of promise to it if it’s done well. The parts with the training and feeding his shield weird new stuff reminded me of the good old season 1 days, I don’t want a repeat of that but everything season 1 did right is in this episode and it makes me hyped for the rest of this season, I wanna see this new world and experience the problems that the heroes are summoned to sort out.
