Overall Thoughts – “The Useless Hand”

Amy- You don’t understand the excitement that I had the moment Dot (Juno Temple) was able to escape. But I cheered when Lorriane sent the FBI to the Tillman ranch with Indira (Richa Moorjani) calling Witt (Lamorne Morris) to save Dot. Of course, Roy (Jon Hamm) had to call in his little militia group, did we really think he would go quietly? I love the line FBI Agent Meyer (Jessica Pohly) gave Roy when he compared them to the witch hunt; “You know what a witch hunt is, right? Not witches hunting men, but men killing women to keep them in line.”

How did Roy not realize that Gator was missing? I know it was expected that Munch (Sam Spruell) would get his payback against Gator (Joe Keery) for killing the old lady, but that was a little rough to watch. Low liked how Munch delivered Gator to Roy instead of making him find Gator or anything worse. I hope this is the moment Gator can redeem himself though and realize how crappy his father is.

Next week’s finale is going to be so good, if not I’m going to be very disappointed. Though I doubt it.

Clare- I LOVED this episode. I think my absolute favorite moment was Lorraine calling Dot her daughter, because that wasn’t bluster and posturing for once, she meant it and it was so incredibly touching. I also really loved the fact Munch was the one to save Dot from the pit, after being the one who had come to get her, and set her on this collision course with Roy again. That was great!

Always thought S1 of this show was closest to the movie, but after revisiting it this past weekend I’ve realized just how many more similarities there are between this season and the movie. I can’t wait to see how the finale plays out. I do hope Gator helps Dot take down Roy, although not sure how much use he’ll be without eyes.

Hi, I'm Amy. I was born into the fandom life and was taught all its magical ways. When I am not working, playing video games, attending conventions (where I dabble in cosplay); I am binge watching anything and everything. Though I do have to admit I am more inclined to sci-fi and supernatural genre; though I have a soft spot for historical dramas.

Hey, I'm Clare, aka Ciara or C. My current fandoms are RWBY and The Last Kingdom along with a bunch of other stuff I tend to let build up and then binge! I'm a keen, albeit amateur, cosplayer and love attending cons in various cosplays. I'm also the resident comic book girl around these parts, especially small press comics, so if you've got an indie book you want reviewed, I'm your gal! When I'm not doing the fangirl thing I am a keen long-distance hiker, having completed Te Araroa in New Zealand and The Pacific Crest Trail on the West Coast of the US.
