Spy X Family “Stella” Review

Spy X Family “Stella” is the eleventh episode of the Spy X Family anime. Following her disastrous attempt at getting a Stella Star during the dodgeball game in episode 10. After Anya proves to be too clumsy at extracurricular activities, Loid decides to take her to volunteer at a hospital, as Stella Stars can also be earned through community service. However, Anya’s poor performance angers the staff. Meanwhile, a boy named Ken is undergoing physical therapy when he slips into the pool. Anya detects and rushes to save him, where Loid ultimately ends up rescuing both. Anya receives praise for being the only one to notice Ken’s predicament, and is thus awarded her first Stella Star. Loid later meets with Handler in a train, who pleads for him to make contact with Desmond soon, as there is unrest in the businesses involving him. At Eden Academy, Anya begins acting entitled due to her Star, and her classmates theorize that she cheated to get it. However, Damian defends Anya’s integrity, much to her surprise. Becky asks Anya about what she would like as a reward, and after telling her of her dog, Anya asks Loid and Yor for one at home, to which they agree. Elsewhere, at a dog pound for genetically altered dogs, a white dog suddenly visualizes the Forgers in his mind.

Review

This was a hilarious and wholesome episode! Anya showing her Forger side by just jumping in to save someone no questions asked. Clearly she knew she couldn’t swim but didn’t even think about herself, just Ken. Unfortunately Anya is definitely becoming one of the spoilt kids by actions alone but she’s still as adorable and hilarious as ever, she’s finding her feet though and it’s so cute. Honestly, shocked by how little nagging it took for Loid to agree to a dog, Yor would do anything for Anya we know that but Loid was suspiciously easy to agree.

Overall a brilliant episode!
