Tomodachi Game “The Third Game Is Over” Review
Tomodachi Game “The Third Game Is Over” is the tenth episode of the Tomodachi Game anime. Following Yuichi’s plan to win the third game by using Maria and Hyakutarou’s choice to join Group C at the end of episode 9. Things look like they’re going swimmingly for Yuichi as per usual, however not everything is as it seems. Yuichi is outmanoeuvred by Kei Shinomiya a true blue genius who joined the Tomodachi Game because he was bored. Kei successfully calls Maria’s bluff and uses her to find Tenji after Yuichi’s plan all falls apart. However the end of the episode doesn’t openly say Group K won so maybe another twist is waiting for us on the horizon.
Yuichi Outgunned?
This was a perfect and much needed change of pace for the show. Yuichi finally loses fair and square, not a fake out or a pretence he just doesn’t read the room properly and Kei outwits him. It’s hard to see Yuichi on the back foot for once but it’s nice to see, I’ve a feeling he’s gonna become even scarier than before now though. He’s now gonna be so disheartened by the betrayal that the little trust he did have in anyone is 100% gone and I can’t wait to see what kind of monster it turns him into.
Kei is something else entirely, he’s only really shone for half an episode but I love his character already. I hope this isn’t the last we see of group K because I’ve started to really like them, especially Kei now, and Banri who seems like he’s got something to hide, not sure why though.
Best episode so far and a shocking turn of events.
