Spy X Family “Secure A Wife” Review
Spy X Family “Secure A Wife” is the second episode of the Spy X Family anime. Following the revelation at the end of episode 1 that Loid needs to secure a wife in order to do the interview for Anya’s school. He just so happens to run into the perfect person, Yor Briar, a 27 year old assassin. Using her powers of telepathy Anya lets slip that she needs a mother planting the idea in both Loid and Yor’s heads that they’d best team up. And without knowing it, the spy marries the assassin. I have a feeling Anya will be thrilled.
Romance In The Time Of Killing
This episode spends most of it’s time introducing Yor and telling her story. Whilst it is a simple one it’s not a simple predicament to get out of. In fact, if it weren’t for Anya’s prodding she’d likely still be in it. There are moments in this episode mainly near the end where Yor shows her true potential, she’s an absolute badass and amazing in a fight just like Loid. Because they’re both so wrapped up in their own predicaments neither really sees the other as suspicious, which is hilarious. It just goes to show just how dethatched from the world both are but with that adorable final scene in this episode I like that they’re part of their own world.
I can’t wait to see how the interview goes next episode, it’s going to be a long week!
