RWBY Vol 7 Chapter 10 Discussion

Out In The Open

It’s that time again RWBY fans. A little delayed due to my internet going out for a few days but Sophie and I have finally had a chance to break down this week’s FIRST episode. Read on for our RWBY Vol 7 Chapter 10 Discussion.

Synopsis

The truth is finally out, and it’s not only our heroes who take notice. With everything at stake, it’s all hands on deck to protect the City of Mantle.

That episode title has a double meaning, secrets are out in the open now Ironwood has told everyone about Salem, but also all of our heroes are exposed as they battle a flood of Grimm. What was your favourite part of the battle in Mantle?

C – Am I wrong to say Jaune busting out his crossing guard training? That was awesome. There were a lot of great moments actually; Weiss saving Marrow with her summon, Qrow dabbing off the top of that building (watch it again, he’s totally dabbing), Nora’s “here kitty kitty”.

S – when I saw those puppy/kitty Grimm I immediately said I wanted one, I mean how cute were they?! Favourite part though I think I would have to say when Ironwood and Hill went on the TV to tell everyone exactly what was happening, Ruby’s reaction was brilliant! I didn’t notice Qrow dabbing though I need to watch it again.

Am I the only one who thought Ruby was going to bust out the silver eyes on that massive Mammoth Grimm (aka the Megoliath)?

S – I thought this for sure, I wonder if she has told anyone in Atlas about her eyes though? Given as they have a tendency to disappear for good. All the training they have done I can’t image that is something she gets to practice all that often.

So Cinder and Neo, we finally know what they are up to, do you think Cinder will find the Winter Maiden?

S – if she does I hope that Winter Schnee is now the Maiden and she will kick Cinder’s arse! Although Cinder is just evil enough to do it, she was surprised to see Watts and Tyrian in Mantle though she is definitely out of the loop.

C – Well it does seem like it’s taken Neo and Cinder a while to get there so it’s not a surprise they are out of the loop. Clearly Cinder has her own plans for the Winter Maiden. I agree that I hope Winter has become the Maiden and we get to see them fight. The last Maiden fight was fantastic.

Which impending battle are you looking forward to the most? Watts Vs Ironwood or Qrow, Clover and Robyn Vs Tyrian?

S – quite a mean question, we have seen Qrow and co in action before as much as I am looking forward to that, I have to say the Watts Vs Ironwood, we have no idea what Watts is like in a fight and Ironwood is kinda more terminator…. Exciting times!

C – How am I meant to choose? That’s so unfair. I’ve been excited to see Qrow face off against Tyrian since I saw the clip in the opening credits in the first chapter, even more so now I know he has Clover for luck. But Ironwood V Watts is going to be a battle for the ages I think. That terrain in Amity Arena, plus not having seen Watts fight before, bring it on!

That’s it for our RWBY Vol 7 Chapter 10 Discussion. The episode is available now on RoosterTeeth.com for FIRST members. It will be available to non-FIRST members on Saturday 18th January.
