A Superb Owl Cometh

The vamps are excited. The neighbors are having a Superb Owl party, and owls are quite admirable. A Superb Owl gets its eggs featured on the cover of magazines!

Colin(Mark Proksch) knows what it really is, and didn’t try to correct Laszlo(Matt Berry), Nadja(Natasia Demetriou), or Nandor(Kayvan Novak). Also, NO KILLING of the neighbors. Guillermo(Harvey Guillen) is to have virgins for them when they return.

Finding Virgins

Guillermo is having a difficult time finding virgins. Considering his last virgin quest didn’t end so well…Incels are bitter, or he’d be golden.  But he does stumble upon a group of mosquito collectors. That’s gotta be a very virginal bunch.

The Party

The owl doesn’t seem to be showing up, but Colin is having a dandy time adjusting the TV settings.

Things get scary when one of the neighbors, Shaun(Anthony Atamanuik) jokes that he never sees the vampires during the day, that they must be vampires. Unable to see that this is a joke, Laszlo and Nandor decide to wipe his memory.

Having Shaun show them the basement(he has the world’s largest Ocean’s Eleven collection), and the vamps accidentally reveal that they are, indeed, vampires. Realizing their mistake, they double hypnotize him.

Oops. Now he has the brain scramblies. The brain scramblies are the worst type of mind wipe, as now Shaun remembers nothing. Like, for instance, that batteries aren’t nachos and shouldn’t be put in the microwave and served as such.

An Old Friend

Nadja is ushered into the kitchen with the wives, who complain about their husbands. Nadja agrees with them; their husbands are “boiled potatoes”. While discussing the men, Shaun’s mother Joan(Sondra James) enters and gasps, she knows Nadja, and remembers her from her childhood. She also knows that Nadja is somehow magical. The girls just think it’s because she has brain scramblies too, especially at night.

But she is right. Nadja used to play with Joan, when she was a little girl. Well, she would pin her to the ceiling for hours and watch her cry. I guess that counts. Nadja sneaks up to Joan’s room to catch up, and sees Joan’s wedding photo. Nadja is admiring the human’s fleeting beauty, when she sees something else-Nadja’s mother’s jade necklace. It was bequeathed to Nadja upon her mother’s death. Also, her mother wore it when she was torn apart by a bear, so it holds her screams in the jade for eternity. It’s just that kind of jade.

Angry about the necklace, Nadja begins tearing the place apart, listening for her mother’s sweet screams.

Mosquito Collectors

Guillermo makes it to the mosquito collector meeting, and quickly finds out the group is after another type of bloodsucker. The group are really vampire hunters, although only one has ever seen a vampire-it’s Jenna’s roommate. Guillermo is unsure about all of it, until he accidentally pegs three vampire dummies in the head with a crossbow, and is called cool. There are virgins, though.

Giving Shaun a Good Time

Since Shaun is so far gone, the vamps decide to give him a last hurrah before Nandor gets his head ripping gloves and does the deed. He gets to fly, to see Nadja climb(and gets flashed by her), gets to see them turn into bats, and gets his own puppy show! And by puppies, we mean full grown dogs viciously cornering him. The vamps mean well, and as Nandor is about to do the deed, he sees his wife, and declares his undying love for her. Realizing Shaun’s brain scramblies actually makes him a better husband than before, the vampires leave him be. He pulls a bunch of junk from his pocket, and lo and behold, there is Nadja’s necklace! Ah, well. She’ll just wait for them to die.
