Jewel Staite (Firefly, Stargate: Atlantis) is the latest name to join the already pretty stellar line-up on The CW’s Legends of Tomorrow.
The star took to Instagram with a rather cryptic announcement but more details are available.
Comingsoon.net report that Staite will play Rachel Turner, an inventor and tech genius in a technologically advanced future. Her character believes her inventions will benefit humanity but are apparently destined to end up in the hands of the bad guys. She also, reportedly, is descended from a long line of inventors, one of whom is from the DC Universe. Since we’ve already seen Ray Palmer in the Flarrow universe, and know he’s going to be in LoT, it’s a fair assumption that it could be him.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow premieres on The CW on January 21st at 8/7c, and Staite is scheduled to appear in episode 10.
