A familiar face joined this week’s episode, Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit), who wants to bridge supes and normal humans. While talking to Marie, Marie found out that she is a supe and that Victoria is the one who got her into God U. After Marie told her about the virus, Victoria said she would handle it, what do you think she will do with this information?
Brina – Honestly, it makes sense that she would be the one that got Marie into the school. I find it very interesting that her and Marie have very similar powers. It’s not the exact same. I feel like she used that to manipulate, Marie. Victoria hates Homelander as we have seen in The Boys. So, it doesn’t surprise me. She did what she did, and she took the virus.
Amy – I never know what to expect from Victoria, can never figure out what side she is on. Since we found out about Victoria’s powers in The Boys, I get extremely nervous. And my nerves stood correctly when Victoria met with Dr. Edison Cardosa (Marco Pigossi) about the virus, promising his safety then making his head explode seconds later. I have a feeling this virus will be brought up in next season of The Boys.
We got many shocking moments in this episode, what moment was the most shocking to you?
Amy – It’s gotta be when Marie (Jaz Sinclair) and Jordan (London Thor & Derek Luh,) discovered Indira Shetty’s (Shelley Conn) husband and daughter that were in the Transatlantic plane crash. And if you watched The Boys, then you would know that Homlander (Antony Starr) was the cause of the plane crash. That was a plot twist that I wasn’t expecting at all. Though it fully explains why she wants them all dead, she really needs to talk to Billy Butcher (Karl Urban). The second biggest moment was when Cate (Maddie Phillips) had Indria kill herself.
Brina – I knew a tie in was coming with The Boys but I wasn’t expecting it to be this one. Shetty’s family died because of Homelander’s temper tantrum. And I wasn’t expecting Billy to side with Cate. That one got me.
Overall Thoughts, anything to add
Amy – Sam (Asa Germann) is beyond adorable. It’s really funny, cause in The Boys you are rooting for the normal people aka the boys, and you want Vought taken down. But watching Gen V you are rooting for our young supes. I cheered when Jordan punched Justine (Maia Jae Bastidas) for torturing Emma (Lizze Broadway), even though it was a distraction. Next week is the season finale of Gen V, and I honestly don’t know what to expect from it.
Brina – I think this has been the perfect build-up for something big. I wasn’t expecting this group of supes to split and be fighting against each other. But from what I saw in the preview for the finale, It looks like they are. I thought they were going to be a better, closer group of friends but apparently not. I see both side’s point of view. I am not sure who I want to win in this final episode.
