Our young group of supes wake up with no memory, with days missing from their memory. Including no memory of Sam (Asa Germann) and the events leading up to last week’s episode. Then it was revealed that it was Cate that erased their memories. Thoughts?

Amy – I seriously thought it was Rufus (Alexander Calvert), the guy is already a little shady/creepy. So, when it was revealed that Cate was working with Dean Indira (Shelley Conn) my jaw dropped. Out of everyone I did not expect that it would have been her. I was kind of expecting Dean Indira to be behind it all, but Cate was a surprise. It’s an interesting plot twist and I’m looking forward to seeing how this storyline develops.

Brina – I had a feeling that it was going to be her. Only because she didn’t seem to be as affected as everyone else was about losing their memory. And I really wonder what they were holding over her to make her use her power on everybody, including her boyfriend, Golden Boy. What an awful thing to do to someone. To make them forget their brother. I bet she was why he killed himself.

We found out that they are trying to make a serum to be able to control the supes.

Brina – Since Cate can give memories back, I wonder if she gives everyone their memories back if that would reveal all of what Dr Edison was doing.

Amy – Vought’s desire to control the supers has been obvious from the beginning of The Boys, when they have shown to have so many problems controlling them. However, I feel a bit uneasy about the fact that Dr. Edison (Marco Pigossi) would like to experiment on Marie (Jaz Sinclair).

Throughout the first 5 episodes, we have seen a lot of random side superhero superpowers that attend the Academy. Is there any that stand out to you? What do you like the most or find oddly cool or freakish?

Brina – The kids that can float and fly will probably always be my favorite. But in this last episode, we had to meet the kid that’s invisible and I also thought that was pretty cool as well as the student they bumped into in the Courtyard and he was able to turn himself into somebody else. It also makes me wonder. Are these natural powers that they developed or are these V-giving powers?

Amy – I have to say it’s a toss-up between Emma’s (Lizze Broadway) powers of how she gets smaller and bigger; which when thinking about it, it does make logical sense that she would have to throw up or eat a lot. The other power that stands out is Jordan’s, that’s a power I haven’t seen in any show or movie. A super that is able to change their gender with a snap of a finger, and they have multiple powers.

Overall Thoughts, anything to add

Amy – Sam hallucinating everyone as puppets now will always be my favorite scene to watch. Defiantly when confetti is flying. I am very curious about Sam and his powers and what exactly makes him special that they need to keep him locked up. Not gonna lie, out of all the characters I did not see Cate double-crossing them all; in all honestly, I expected it to be Andre (Chance Perdomo). Every week I am still loving Jordan more and more. First off, the casting between London Thor and Derek Luh is beyond perfect. Second, Jordan’s powers are just plain amazing, it’s like every episode we are learning more and more about them. And I definitely can’t forget about Jordan’s interest in Marie, how they instantly gravity towards her and protect her in a heartbeat since the very beginning.

Brina – I totally agree Amy the puppets scenes are the best. It’s a nice switch-up from the normal blood and gore. To see puppets and confetti and strings. It’s almost like Sam’s childlike brain. Dealing with an adult situation so that maybe he doesn’t feel so bad about it. Like it’s shields him and some way. As for Jordan, I do love seeing how their powers seem to grow every episode. As much as everybody says Marie is the powerful one, I feel like Jordan and Marie together would be an unstoppable combination and one helluva super couple.
