Ya Boy Kongming “Plan for Peace Throughout the World Vol 1” Review

Ya Boy Kongming “Plan for Peace Throughout the World Vol 1” is the seventh episode of the Paripi Kongming anime. Following the success of adding Kabetaijin to their group in episode 6. Kongming devises a plan for everyone to stick to in order to get the 100,000 likes needed for Summer Sonia. He decides the best time to strike will be 3 days before the actual show. Meanwhile, Kongming encourages Kabetaijin to take on Sekitoba in a rap battle, probably knowing that he’s not ready but he needs to find that out himself. Eiko is told by Kid, the record producer that she doesn’t have her own voice yet and she needs to find it or she shouldn’t come back, without knowing it Kabetaijin has a similar problem his rhymes are being held back by his own obsession with beating Sekitoba. Eiko ends up playing guitar with a girl named Nanami, who sings her song really well, and Kongming finds a bad omen.

Finding Your Voice

As it’s been established many times, Eiko’s powerful voice comes out when she’s able to feel great and spread that happy feeling to others. Similarly Kabetaijin’s true skill only shows itself when he’s using rap as a way to speak his true feelings. This is openly stated in this episode, just in case people haven’t been paying attention but neither of the characters notice it. Not an issue, an area where they can both grow but I am interested in how Kabetaijin will take it if he loses to Sekitoba, will he become a recluse again? His confidence is still in tatters and Kongming’s mysterious massage isn’t helping.

Similarly, it seems as if the show is setting Eiko up for a a big shock too, this new character Nanami could prove to be a massive problem if she sees Eiko as someone who’s a threat to her. She’s quite obviously a singer and there’s a reason the band they have to beat are all wearing masks. Question is, will Eiko deal with it well and rise to the occasion or will she let it bother her?

Loved this episode so much it had enough comedy to keep it light hearted whilst moving the more serious parts of the plot along nicely.
