Welcome to The Halcyon Hotel
Stephen Mackintosh, Olivia Williams and Kara Tointon star in a new eight-part drama that takes place in the midst of World War II. Set in the 1940’s, explore what it was like to be in a 5 star hotel whilst London was at its peak of destruction and the impact it had on families, politics and relationships. The Halcyon reveals how war infiltrated everyone’s lives from the glamorous guests, to its loyal, hard-working staff.
Also starring Matt Ryan (Constantine) as an American journalist chronicling events, this is one show we are eager for. Not to mention it should brighten up those dreary January nights a bit.
The 8-episode mini-series will premiere on ITV on January the 2nd, 2017, just 22 days away.

I was a little sad that there’s no glimpse of Matt Ryan’s journalist, Joe O’Hara, in the trailer, but overall it looks fascinating. I will be live tweeting and reviewing the show as it airs, so please join us on January 2nd as we check in to The Halcyon.
