WandaVision Episode 4 Review

WandaVision is starting to make sense but it spells danger for Wanda. She’s slowly but surely becoming the villain of her own world.

Overview

Episode 4 takes a massive turn from episode 3 where most of the episode happens in the real world. Outside of Westview and away from Wand and Vision. In fact they don’t even show up until the latter part of the episode. We do however learn of Monica Rambeau and her involvement in S.W.O.R.D a subdivision of S.H.I.E.L.D. Fan Favourite Darcy is back and so is Detective Wong.

It’s Darcy that notices the strange frequency coming from the area surrounding Westview. She separates the two frequencies and manages to get audio and video from them. All of which turns out to be episodes 1-3, what we ad an audience have been watching so far.

Thankfully the manage to identify all of the residents of Westview and find their actual identities. Alot of the loose strings were tied up in this episode a ton of questions answered. The problem now is Monica’s words at the end of the episode to the S.W.O.R.D agents. She says “It’s Wanda. It’s all Wanda.” Giving zero doubt as to who is responsible for the anomaly and the missing people.

Review

This was by far the most intense episode. So much was revealed but with it so many questions. The fact that Wanda created this means that she’s probably the only one powerful enough to stop it. That’s not exactly an encouraging thought as she seems to be delving deeper and deeper into darkness as time goes on.

This episode had me on tenterhooks the whole time. Far from the fun loving comedy we had just 3 episodes ago. It’s now turning into a full on thriller and Wanda is the bad guy.

It’s a good thing these episodes are released weekly. If you binged them, I’m not entirely sure you’d get the same effect.
