The Mandalorian Season 2 Episode 6 “The Tragedy” Synopsis

The Mandalorian Season 2 Episode 6 “The Tragedy” was, once again, written by Jon Favreau and directed by Robert Rodriguez. As directed by Ahsoka Tano, the Mandalorian (Pedro Pascal) takes Grogu to the ancient temple on Tython. Once there, Grogu meditates on the seeing stone. Meanwhile he is surrounded by a protective energy field. After some time Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison) arrives. He has some company and it’s no other than the mercenary Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen). Boba Fett wants his armor, worn by Cobb Vanth (Timothy Olyphant), back. It belongs to him. To protect Grogu, The Mandalorian agrees to return the armor. At this very moment, Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito) arrives and deploys stormtroopers to attack the group. What’s going to happen next? One thing is clear: The Mandalorian won’t leave without a fight and now he even has some company. Let’s keep Grogu safe and sound.

Plot, Acting and Characters

There are some co-stars returning from previous episodes. Those include Temuera Morrison as Boba Fett, Ming-Na Wen as Fennec Shand, Giancarlo Esposito as Moff Gideon and last but not least Gina Carano as Cara Dune. In my opinion we got to see the most outstanding performance from Boba Fett. He was actually smashing it against these stormtroopers. Those fight scenes were incredible. Like, he’s taking them all out mostly by himself. But of course, it should not be forgotten that he also had some really good team mates. All together it’s one hell of a trio, I can tell you that.

Every time Moff Gideon appears on screen I get this Darth Vader feeling. Of course, no one can beat Sith Lord Darth Vader, but it’s just the whole atmosphere in general. The big bad guy trying to achieve his goals no matter what. No compromises. No mercy. He won’t give up until he gets what he wants, which is Grogu.

Final review

This may be the season’s shortest episode, but it’s definitely the most consequential one so far. I’m excited to see what’s going to happen in these last two episodes. On the one hand I wanna know everything right now, but on the other hand I don’t want this season to be over already. Plus, I don’t want to be left with a cliffhanger. Anyways, this was my favorite episode from Season 2. I was constantly being worried about Grogu and those fight scenes left me speechless for a bit. I am looking forward to the last two episodes of this season.
