Superman and Lois – The Inverse Method Roundtable

Superman and Lois – The Inverse Method Synopsis

Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch) and Chrissy (Sofia Hasmik) go on a mission to find Lois’ sister Lucy (Guest star Jenna Dewan); Jonathan (Jordan Elsass) and Jordan (Alex Garfin) become more and more unsettled as Clark (Tyler Hoechlin)’s painful visions continue; Lana (Emmanuelle Chriqui), Kyle (Erik Valdez) and Sarah (Inde Navarrette) share a family breakfast and discuss Sarah’s upcoming quinceañera.

What do you think of this whole Ally Alston (Rya Kihlstedt) and Lucy Lane cancelling Lois thing?

C: I am definitely concerned about what they are doing to Lois in this storyline. They are making her out to be kinda reckless and unthinking, doing whatever it takes to get the story when she was only trying to save and protect her sister. They’ve done an excellent job of making Ally charismatic af though, I could genuinely see how people would buy into the Inverse Method (whatever that is). I’m really hoping Chrissy sees through Ally’s crap sooner rather than later.

PB: I honestly don’t like this story line. I don’t like how they are making Lois out to be this evil person who uses her job to her advantage. Lois isn’t that person. She is good at her job and she cares for her family but Lois purposely doing something to hurt anyone just isn’t her. I am now worried Ally and Lucy are going to turn Chrissy against Lois and maybe even brainwash her too.

With Lana running for Mayor, the family’s dirty laundry is about to become very public. Do you think the family is really going to be about to handle this?

C:  Sarah definitely seems a lot stronger now, so I don’t think that will be the chink in the armour that gets to Lana. I think it’s going to be Kyle and whatever secret life he was leading in that bar in another town while he was drinking hard.

PB:  I really hope they are strong enough to withstand anything the current Mayor throws at them but I kinda hope they find some dirty laundry of his and they air it out to the town. Did I miss the Family chat about Sarah’s quinceanera? Cause I watched it 2x and i don’t remember that part.

C: It was in the diner at breakfast, right before Emily told Lana that the current mayor is digging for info on her and Sarah.

The General (Ian Bohen) sent his “Super Squad” out to fight Bizarro without notifying Superman. They kinda got their butts kicked. Do you think they will ever be able to work with Superman as a team?

PB: It would be cool to see a Super Squad with Superman as the leader but I think as long as the government controls them, Superman will never want to work together with them.

C: Well two of them died already, which goes to prove Superman’s point about them not being ready. Maybe this will be a turning point and Anderson will realise that he needs Superman’s help to properly train these kids. It would be cool to see them work together.

What do you think of this telepathic tie Bizarro and Superman seem to have?  Do you think it has something to do with the necklace Bizarro was wearing?

PB: I am not sure how this story line will play out. In the comic books, Bizarro is a part of Superman as Lex was the one who made him after he took some of Superman’s DNA. I wonder if that means we will get to see the return of Lex Luthor. And as far as the necklace goes, my first thought was it was a piece from the Phantom Zone. Maybe he is carrying another bad guy with him.

C: I thought the same about the necklace being part of the Phantom Zone. That would also tie in with what Dr Faulkner said on the phone in the previous episode about “something came through”. Of course, since Tag (Wern Lee) stole it from the ground and no doubt delivered it straight to Anderson, I have a feeling nothing good is going to come from it.

Jordan decided to use this “super drug” during football practice. How long before he gets caught?

C: Well Nat (Tayler Buck) already thinks he’s acting off, after just one dose of the stuff, and told him to quit. I don’t think he’s going to listen and I think something is going to happen. I’m trying to think what other Superman powers Jonathan doesn’t have yet that he might get, cos he got the telescopic vision right off the bat, and Jonathan doesn’t have that. Maybe flight? Whatever ability he gets next I reckon something bad is going to happen, and he’ll get caught because of it.

PB: This is going to backfire so bad I can just feel it. He is not going to get away with it at all.
