Andrew Garfield has been talking about the slated Sinister Six movie while in Toronto promoting new movie 99 Homes at the TIFF.
When asked about the spin off, which is being written and directed by Drew Goddard (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Lost) and features a line-up of some of Spiderman’s best known enemies such as Doctor Octopus and Green Goblin, he replied “I know more than I’m allowed to say right now”. In an interview with the Toronto Sun the Spiderman star said “I can say I’m really excited about Drew Goddard, who’s going to be writing and directing. Whether I’m involved in that or not is kind of immaterial”.
It’s unclear how big a role Spiderman would have in a Sinister Six movie, since it’s more about the bad guys, but indications are that the plot will centre on a redemption story for the villains. I guess we will find out when it arrives in November 2016.
