According to Deadline, Sony Pictures and Original Film have put plans into motion to start 23 Jump Street, the 3rd movie in the 21 Jump Street franchise. Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill are set to resume their roles. Rodney Rothman will be overseeing the script, along with producers Neal Moritz, Hill and Tatum.
It is still unknown whether Phil Lord or Christopher Miller, who directed the first two movies, will be back for to direct the third. The job is there for them if they want it.
“The last film ended with a montage of future sequels that was humorous, but when the second installment of your film grosses $320 million on a $50 million budget, another installment is inevitable.”
