Shailene Woodley on Insurgent

THE DIVERGENT SERIES: INSURGENT has raised the stakes in the action-packed Teaser Trailer that debuted on YouTube TODAY!

Along with the teaser trailer came the teaser poster that debuted exclusively on the ‘DivergentSeries’ Snapchat.

The first teaser trailer has brought many special effects into the mix, showcasing Tris leaping off a building while trying to save her mother (Ashley Judd). Since we all know what happened at the end of Divergent to Judd’s character, we can only guess that the trailer is actually a dream sequence.

Woodley, in an interview with the Daily Times stated:

“‘Insurgent’ has so much more action than ‘Divergent’ did and the action scenes are, like, seven-minute long sequences,” Woodley told the Daily News last month.

The actress, who turns 23 on Saturday, managed to deftly avoid spoilers, but did describe dangling from a great height in a harness and surrounded by green screens for the scene.

“Then they compiled the shots and showed me on the screen what it would look like and I remember being like, ‘ A, technology is f—- crazy and B, it’s so fun,” she said. “I felt like Spider-Man.”

Insurgent is set to hit theaters on March 20, 2015. It is the 2nd movie of the 4 sequel series. Also starring are Kate Winslet, Theo James, Jai Courtney and Ansel Elgort.
