What happens when hunky Outlander star Sam Heughan gets announced for Wizard World New Orleans, well you grab your fellow lassies and you head to NOLA for a blast. This is what happens when Sam Heughan does Wizard World. Word spread fast that Sam was going to be starting off 2020 with headlining the comic con in New Orleans.
People gripped at prices, but it seemed a ploy to discourage others from going, which failed, as tickets sold out faster than he could call you Sassenach! With the pricey (but well worth it) tickets purchased, it was time for the fun to begin.
To start off the weekend, the Platinum Sam Heughan VIP (there were several tiers), the group was treated to a small Q&A with Aunt Jocasta, Maria Doyle Kennedy. She was ever so gracious to chat with the 150 lassies and a few lads for about 15 minutes.

With the first day of the convention being over it was time to get ready for Sam Heughan Day!
Sam Heugah day was on Saturday of this whirlwind convention. It was time for getting up, and standing in lines and being ready for the man, the myth, the legend.
Needless to say when Sam got on stage our cameras were ready to capture every moment we could. Above is just a tease from our gallery which can be found here.
Sam did the majority of his panel alone, but he did bring some friends to the fun.
We got to see Ed Speleers (Stephen Bonnet), John Bell (Young Ian Murray) and as mentioned before Maria Doyle Kennedy. The gallery can be found here.
The weekend was a blast. No price can be put on meeting these amazing human beings. Sam is down-to-earth and humble. Ed Speleers is sweet and kind and funny. John Bell brings laughter and fun, and Maria is sassy, funny, and easy-going.
If you ever have the chance to meet any of these cast members I suggest you do it. No word yet as to who is going to be going to the leading Outlander event in Kansas City, Mo, Sasnak City, but you may want to give a follow to them on their twitter @SasnakCity and bookmark the page, tickets go on sale soon. John, Ed, and Maria have all been in there in the past, who knows who they will get next.
