Rob’s Corner

Ahhh, it’s been awhile….

I miss working Rob like everyone else.  And I know we have had touring Rob the last few weeks, but I’m not one for “gossip” and pap pics, so what is there to talk about.  Well this week, we finally got some news!

Rob got his first nomination to the AACTA’s for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of Rey in The Rover.  Since I was watching the live stream nominations, I was pretty bummed when it seemed they forgot the cue cards for that category and it was completely skipped.  But then I went into my Twitter account and saw that the AACTA tweeted that yes indeed he was nominated. I starting jumping up and down, which I’m sure the rest of us Rob fanatics did as well.  Finally, FINALLY, he gets the recognition he deserves.  It is so heartwarming to see that people other than his fans are beginning to realize the depth he has in his acting.  I will also say how proud I am that everyone in the movie is being recognized as well.  Guy Pearce (Best Actor), Susan Prior (Best Supporting Actress), David Michod (Direction)…it’s all surreal.  I have gone on and on about this movie before so I’m going to stop here.

But in other exciting news, we also found out that Rob was listed as playing guitar on Death Grips’ Birds soundtrack.  How awesome is that?!?!?! Music Rob is a must!!!

Anyway, that’s my rambling for today.
