Recap: Legends of Tomorrow 515: Swan Thong

Legends of Tomorrow 515: Swan Thong: The Fates are still in control, and the Legends have to restore the world, fight Encores, and be reminded that Shake Weights exist.
The Legends are-Wait for it-Legends
Having left Charlie’s(Maisie Richardson-Sellers) protection, The Legends(including two Zaris) are stranded in a timeline with grey uniforms and no true free will. But is it still so ordered? the world was inspired by their televised rebelling, and a graffiti artist has spray painted on a blue mush poster.

Walking around in their street clothes, the Legends stick out. Fans of their shows see them and ask for autographs, but Constantine(Matt Ryan) has a better idea. Trading clothes with the groupies, the Legends infiltrate the Loom Temple. The Loom is there, as are Clotho/Charlie, Atropos(Joanna Vanderham), and Lachesis(Sarah Strange). They are granting requests from the people. One requests that their shows return, alerting Lachesis and Atropos that the Legends are free.

The Loom is Found
Constantine, Astra(Olivia Swann), Sara(Caity Lotz), Zari(Tala Ashe), and Behrad(Shayan Sobhian) take out two guards posted in the building. They are guarding the Loom from the Legends. While Zari and Behrad go to spy on the Fates, the other three stay to destroy the Loom.

Constantine encourages Astra to use her magic powers to control it. He reminds her that her mother was powerful, and the same blood flows through her.
Using a memory of her mother singing Scarborough Fair as an anchor, she concentrates. Astra’s magic attracts the Loom. But memories of Lachesis invade to stop Astra, and she falters.
Fighting a God, Round Two
While current timeline Zari and Behrad have eyes on Charlie and “Hippie Mom” Lachesis, Atropos appears where Sara is outside the Loom Room. Lachesis notices her blindness and notes that she still bears the scars from their last fight.
“My scars only make me stronger.”

Grabbing Atropos’ hand, Sara sees herself getting stabbed in the heart by one of Atropos’ bone daggers. The two fight, and Atropos pulls Sara’s Life-Thread from her body while telling her that they are connected. Sara’s premonition allows her to stop the bone knife, and Sara pushes Atropos into the Loom, and declares that if they are so joined, then Sara can pull a thread from Atropos. She is correct, and she pulls Atropos’s very godhood from her, and the Loom consumes her and is destroyed.
In the Trash Heap
Mick(Dominic Purcell), Nate(Nick Zano), former Zari, and Ava(Jes Macallan) are taken to a garbage heap full of forbidden objects by Mona(Ramona Young) and Gary(Adam Tsekhman). Mona correctly assumes that the shuttle would be there, and it is eventually found among massage recliners, foam fingers, and fuzzy dice.

The shuttle barely works, there is no Gideon(Amy Louise Pemberton), and Mick decides to go find Lita(Mina Sundwall).
Manning the shuttle, Ava picks up the rest of the Legends, and it becomes unstable. She puts it down, but they have jumped four months into the future. Sara can see again, and Constantine tells her because her powers were connected to Atropos, they died with her.
Clotho’s Guilt
Feeling the death of their sister, Lachesis tells Clotho that Atropos’s death is her doing, that chaos and death and the horrors of the world were brought upon the world by Clotho.
Despairing at Lachesis’s words, Clotho agrees.
Portable Fate
Sara, now able to see(and powerless), leads the Gang through the slightly better world. Walking among the crowds, they realize everyone is consulting their watches before they do anything.
Ava: What are the chances that everyone’s watches got a weird update in the last four months?
Constantine: I’d say one in a monkey’s ass, luv.
Unsure how the Loom could have the power to connect with everyone via a watch, the Legends break into what is now a Museum of History. The first stop: The Hall of Bad Ideas.
Nate: Ray has that suit.
Among the other bad ideas are cigarettes, shake weights, and Sisqo’s “Thong Song”.

Constantine: Cigarettes? Ah, come on. The bloody cheek of them!
Sara: John, you died of lung cancer; come on, you know they’re right.
Constantine, whispering sadly: Yeah.
What Happened?
Mick and Lita come on board with Mona and Gary, and Lita explains that when the Loom was destroyed, people were panicking and blamed the Legends. Mick and Lita went into hiding.
The Hall of Villains
The Legends come to a wing called the Hall of Villains, where they are ranked #2 as god killers.

God Killers

Number one is an imprisoned Charlie. Sara has Constantine use a spell to knock out a panicking Charlie. Awake on the shuttle, Charlie tells them that Lachesis rebuilt the Loom, and restored the peace. She says that she must stay with Lachesis. She can’t be convinced that the chaos is good. The group tries so hard to change her mind with The White Album and a kiss between Ava and Sara, but she will not change her mind. Did I mention that the Hall of Villains has a very familiar looking Marie Antoinette(Courtney Ford)?

Zari Finds the Rebuilt Loom
Former Zari discovers that Lachesis has merged the Loom with Gideon, and the technology is feeding the watches that everyone wears and consults with such addiction. Also, current Zari and Constantine make out with live mics. This makes former Zari uncomfortable.
Ava asks Charlie to help them take her sister down, but she refuses, still fearful.
The Museum’s Grand Opening

Lachesis is giving a tour of the Hall of Villains at the museum’s grand opening. Astra has taken Charlie’s place to face Lachesis. She theorizes that Lachesis is mortal now, and is right. The Legends have replaced their wax counterparts, and step down from the dais. Angry, Lachesis releases the remaining Encores’ souls from the coins to fight them. Taking their wax bodies, they attack. Nate hits the play button on Sisqo’s diorama, and the fight is fought to the tune of “Thong Song”.

The Encores won’t die with conventional weapons.
Lita
Lita tells Charlie that she is a result of the chaos Charlie created. She reminds her that life with choice is crazy, but the good outweighs the bad.
Coming back from the ship with the hell weapons Zari and Constantine confiscated earlier, Charlie joins the fight. The tide turns and the Encores are destroyed.
Facing Lachesis
Charlie faces her now mortal sister, telling her that she needs forgiveness, and Charlie forgives her. She tells Lachesis to live her one mortal life.
The Totem
Putting Gideon back on the ship, the two Zaris and Behrad have a moment together until blood flowers on Behrad’s shirt. Former Zari explains that her existing outside the totem is causing it, and she returns inside the totem.
Smell the Cul-De-Sac

Charlie is singing with her punk band, restored to life. She is doing a punk cover of Mister Parker’s Cul-de-sac, and the crowd is loving it, especially the Legends.
Astra is excited about living in the mortal realm, and gives John his soul coin back.

The group leaves the bar, but Charlie announces that she is tired of running, and is staying in the 1970s with her band to put down roots.
Mick wouldn’t let Lita go inside the bar. Hashtag Dad.

As the gang leaves, Sara hears a sound and stays back for only a second. Unnoticed, she is taken up in a beam of light and disappears into a craft that quickly zooms out of sight among the stars…
