The Last Piece

Charlie(Maisie Richardson-Sellers) recalls to the crew how she entrusted the last piece of the Loom in ring form to The Enchantress(Samantha Liana Cole) in ancient Egypt.

Charlie before she was Charlie, although she looks like Charlie. It’s complicated.

Nate(Nick Zano) has a hard time imagining her as Charlie, because Charlie wasn’t looking like Charlie in ancient Egypt, because she didn’t actually know what Charlie now looked like. Just go with it, Nate. It’s easier.

Constantine(Matt Ryan) can use a spell to find the last piece, and call it to his house by using a little bit of everyone’s aura.

Sara(Caity Lotz), who is feeling the repercussions of seeing Atropos’s true form and living, falls unconscious during the spell.

The ring is literally almost in their grasp, but everyone’s concentration is broken. Zari(Tala Ashe) and Constantine both grab for the ring, and fall through a portal to the house’s past.

The Boarding House

Landing in the year 1910, Constantine and Zari find John’s house is a boarding house run by elderly Mrs. Hughes(Marion Eisman). Posing as a couple, the two get a room and begin to look for the ring.

Getting a room directly after them is the mysterious Doctor White. As in Whitechapel. As in Jack the Ripper(Timothy Lyle).

Needing to search the doctor’s room, Zari lures him out with a fake cough. Only when he has her back in his room does his true nature come forward. Luckily, Constantine knocks him out. Realizing that a slew of Encores just checked in, Constantine dons Jack’s coat and hell powered scalpel, and plays Jack(calling himself Old Leather Apron)to infiltrate the following gang of bad guys:

Bonnie Parker(Abby Ross) and Clyde Barrow(Ben Sullivan)

Black Caesar(Sean Millington)

Brutus(Peter Ciuffa)

King Henry VIII(Chris Gauthier)

Hell, hell, the gang’s all here.

Going to Hell

Ava’s(Jes Macallan) Prognosticator goes off, alerting to an influx of Encores. But it isn’t equipped for the job, and goes offline. Determined to find John and Zari and hopefully put an end to things, Ava has novice Gary(Adam Tsekhman) cook up a spell to send her, Gary, and Mick(Dominic Purcell) to hell to find Astra(Olivia Swann). With Gary officiating, it goes about as well as you think it would. Mick is ok with hell, fire is his thing.

Ava finds Astra, and after a heart to heart, Ava tells her that she needs to stand up for herself, and make her own decisions. But the trio are eventually duped and captured by Astra, who had been duped by Lachesis(Sarah Strange), the actual reason the latest Encores are on earth.

There’s a Lot of Rope in Hell for Some Reason

Tied up by Hell goons who practice social distancing, Gary forgot to mention that when the spell breaks, only those touching him go back to earth, and time is running short.

Mick likes hell, but he has a thing to get back to, Gary.

An Offer for Astra

Lachesis reveals who she really is to Astra, and introduces her to her sister Atropos(Joanna Vanderham). Lachesis tells Astra that she has been grooming her all along to take Clotho/Charlie’s place-to be a god! She admonishes Astra for still wanting her mother back, telling Astra to drop her human concerns. Astra agrees, but wants Constantine’s coin back.

Realizing Ava was right, Astra frees the captives, and joins the Waverider to find the last piece of the Loom, and John.

Free For All

Quick thinking Zari appears as Cleopatra, saving John’s skin.

Shouldn’t she have appeared as The Mighty Isis?

John tries to return the favor later, telling her to leave the house through a secret door.

This is my house, and I am just crazy enough to defend it.

She refuses to leave him, and Zari is able to use the Air totem to finish off the remaining Encores(Bonnie and Clyde already took out a few).

Where’s the Loom Ring?

Using Black Caesar’s magical compass, Zari and Constantine become frustrated. The magical tool seems to be sending the duo on a wild goose chase, until John realizes what Enchantress has done. To find the ring, you have to not think about it, which seems impossible. But during a near kiss between Zari and Constantine, it appears.

Just as they have the ring in hand, the crew appears. Constantine asks how he and Zari were found, and is shocked to see Astra.  The crew realize that the Encores have left their powerful hell weapons behind. Taking them, they all leave the house…but before John goes, he turns to Mrs. Hughes, teasing her about the Loom/ring. She feigns ignorance, but Constantine knows better. After he leaves, it is revealed John was right about her. It is Enchantress, who promises to see John again.
