Soundtrack Sunday – Blade Trinity (2004)
This week for Soundtrack sunday – Blade Trinity (2004). We bring you the music that accompanies a kick ass film with regards to cast and story. Due to it being a slightly dark film with Vampires being more prominent than humans it very Halloween appropriate.
The Plot
Blade (Wesley Snipes) the human vampire hybrid has become very successful in killing vampires. More pressing is that his capability has gotten to the point that the vampires are now worried. One group of vampires led by Danica Talos (Parker Posey – Scream 3) and brother Asher (Callum Keith Rennie – Battlestar Gallactica) have plans. These vampires are intelligent enough to raise an old and strong Vampire in face he is the first Vampire. Even though he isn’t happy to be raised Drake (Dominic Purcell – Prison Break) will do what is needed to save his kind.
Blade however is out of his comfort zone when framed for killing a human leading the cops to his hideout. In the process of capturing Blade his protector Whistler (Kris Kristofferson – A Star is Born) is killed keeping his secrets.
Danica and Asher are about to sedate and take Blade when an unexpected rescue happens at the police station. In rolls the Nightstalkers to the rescue with Hannibal King (Ryan Reynolds – Deadpool) and Abigail Whistler (Jessica Biel – Stealth). We learn from the Nightstalkers that more than just Blade are fighting against the vampires and that Whistler knew them.
The Nightstalkers
The Nightstalkers are groups of people who fight against the Vampires and Hannibal, Abby and a bunch of others. They use special training methods along with cool technology to help beat the Vampires at their own game of hunting. Abby not only uses some amazing weapons she fights like a natural and aids her fight with her own playlist of music.
Generally speaking I think that’s a nice way to lead into some of the music from the film.
Firstly lets listen to the Nightstalkers entrance music as I think it’s rather cool and fitting.
Nightstalkers by Ramin Djawadi
Next is a song that can be heard when Abby is training and in the video we can see her making a playlist.
This Blood by Black Lab
Now this next song is used when Blade is chasing Drake and I think is quite cool.
Daywalkers by Ramin Djawadi and RZA
Lastly is the music that we hear at the ens credits to the film which really shows you the type of feel the film has.
Fatal By RZA
All in all that was fun especially watching the film again. Thank you again for listening and I hope you all will give this a watch over Halloween. Till next time I will say bye-bye for now.
