Music Monday – Our Last Night

Music Monday – Our Last Night

Welcome FANdemaniacs. It’s the start of the week, and we know you need some tunes to get you through so here we go with this Music Monday. Our Last Night are an American post-hardcore four piece made up of brothers Trevor and Matt Wentworth, Alex Woodrow, and Tim Molloy.

I first heard of them thanks to their penchant for covering pop songs in their own style and, dare I say it, making them totally epic. The first thing I heard from them was their cover of Adele’s James Bond theme, Skyfall.

That tempo change around about the 2:05 mark kills me EVERY time.

Now, it’s no secret that I am NOT a Belieber… but I’ll be damned if I won’t happily listen to OLN’s cover of Sorry on a loop because this is so good!

Ever wondered if it was possible for Wrecking Ball to give you chills? It is. But only when Trevor and Matt do their thing.

Ever since T-Swifty released her latest I was WAITING for the boys to get their hands on it, and they have NOT disappointed me. Their version of Look What You Made Me Do is, unlike the original (sorry Taylor), awesome.

Now, they don’t just do covers. The boys have done a lot of their own material, and are about to tour Europe with their new album. My fave of their original stuff has got to be Same Old War. And I LOVE this video.

I hope you’ve found a new favourite and will be keeping an eye on the boys in the future. I know I will. I’ll leave you with one of the most fun things they have done… their Jock Jams. *moshes to Everybody Dance Now and opens a circle pit to Cotton Eye Joe*

Hey, I'm Clare, aka Ciara or C. My current fandoms are RWBY and The Last Kingdom along with a bunch of other stuff I tend to let build up and then binge! I'm a keen, albeit amateur, cosplayer and love attending cons in various cosplays. I'm also the resident comic book girl around these parts, especially small press comics, so if you've got an indie book you want reviewed, I'm your gal! When I'm not doing the fangirl thing I am a keen long-distance hiker, having completed Te Araroa in New Zealand and The Pacific Crest Trail on the West Coast of the US.
