Manifest : Graveyard Spiral Round Table Review

We are back with another round table review for Manifest Season 3 Episode 6 called “Graveyard Spiral”. Joining me (Rike) on this one are Mandy and Anna Maria. Are you guys ready? Let’s do this!

Manifest: Graveyard Spiral Synopsis

As Mick (Melissa Roxburgh) and Zeke (Matt Long) finally collide with Jace (James McMenamin) in a grueling match to survive, Ben (Josh Dallas) races against the clock to save his family. When they all converge in an intense battle, the fallout will reveal a massive new clue regarding the fate of Passengers.

Your opinion about this episode in general?

R: This one was even more intense than the last one. I really thought this wouldn’t be possible, but here we are. I truly wasn’t prepared for this emotional rollercoaster. You definitely need tissues watching this. Perfect episode in my opinion. Good job everyone!

AM: That was one hell of an episode! Definitely the most action-filled this season. And emotional as well. A memorable one for sure.

M: I am so sad and cried uncontrollably during this episode. I need some time to process what the heck happened during the episode. Definitely was on the edge of my seat the entire time. Even though how sad this episode was and how hard I was crying, this one might be one of the best ones yet. Because this changes everything and makes the mystery even bigger with even more questions.

What do you think it means for all the passengers now we saw what happened to the three meth heads (Kory and Pete died because of Jace’s actions)?

M: The meth heads all came back together and so they’re being judged all together. I do believe this might be the same for the passengers. Which would suck big time since two passengers already screwed up with their actions. Referring to Daly (Frank Deal) literally kidnapping Fiona (Francesca Faridany) and stealing a plane to fly off just to prove his theory. That he is not the one responsible for the missing 5,5 years, but Fiona is or something. Then we have Saanvi (Parveen Kaur) too, who killed the major. Those are pretty bad actions. So I am wondering if all the passengers are getting judged together and might now die because of Daly or Saanvi their actions. Or maybe there will be another plot twist. I sure hope so. There were 191 people on that flight. If all of them are being held responsible for one person’s actions (ok in this case 2 people their actions). That would be really unfair to those other 190 people. So I am hoping there’s maybe a chance for them to redeem or save themselves and that they won’t be judged all together.

AM: That is very worrying to see. And imagine all the passengers’ fates being tied together, I can’t even imagine how they would do that. There has to be some sort of other twist/concept, but it is definitely not promising.

R: I am truly scared now. It really is all connected and I don’t want that. I do hope they’ll find a way to make it work that everyone is responsible for their own life or death. This whole “all of them or none of them” really does suck. I just want all of them to be safe, is that too much to ask for?

Your thoughts on badass Grace (Athena Karkanis)? Did you enjoy watching this side of her?

AM: That was AWESOME! It was really cool to see her go full on badass. We haven’t seen too many different sides of Grace, so I loved seeing that.

R: DAMN YES!! I truly enjoyed watching her being like that, even though the reason for her actions still makes me emotional. But this side really suits her. All this “I don’t give a shit” behaviour. I’m all here for it to be honest – as long as it’s not escalating.

M: I freaking LOVED it. The baddest of ‘em all. It’s so nice to see a different side of Grace. We already knew not to mess with Grace after seeing the season 2 finale, but this was so cool. I would love to see more badass Grace.

How do you think Tarik’s (Warner Miller) death will affect Grace? And on the other hand – how do you think Angelina (Holly Taylor) is going to deal with Pete’s death? Is there any chance to bring them back?

R: To be honest, nowadays you never know if a character is really dead or if he’ll come back in a couple episodes. But with Tarik and Pete I do believe they’re gone for good, which is quite sad. I really started to like both of them. But that’s nothing new. Happened to me couple times already, but I’m still not used to this. I do hope that the Stone family will take good care of both of them. Going to be heartbreaking to watch them recover from this, if that’s even possible. They need more than a lot of hugs.

M: I hope Grace will be able to grieve for Tarik and receive some support from people around her. Maybe Grace and Angelina will be able to help each other through their losses and help each other heal. Since they both lost a loved one thanks to Jace. I think they’ll both be pretty sad. I hope they can heal from this and grow stronger from this. But please haven’t they been through enough already?!

AM: I’m sure we’ll see her struggle with it, considering how they started to bond (again) through the last eps. And it will be interesting to see how she will deal with that loss, and hopefully Ben will be there for her. I’m sure Angelina will be devastated for quite some time. With this show you never know who is really dead or not – but I do think maybe this was a way to wrap things up with those 3.

Do you think Zeke’s new “power” will affect his relationship with Mick?

M: Well, like I said during the last roundtable how I think that Jared still has feelings for Michaela. With Zeke’s new powers he is definitely going to pick those feelings up. I also don’t believe that all of Michaela’s feelings for Jared have disappeared. So I am thinking that if Zeke would find out she still has some feelings left for Jared, it would definitely affect their relationship in a way. But also like Michaela said in this episode that she doesn’t want her husband to feel everything she’s feeling, if she’s in any pain for example. It could maybe affect their relationship, yes.

AM: I think might be. We already saw them talking about it in this episode, and I’m sure it wasn’t the last time. As Mandy points out, it will be interesting to see if Zeke will find out that Mick still has some feelings for Jared (which I believe she does), and that might cause some trouble for sure.

R: Fingers crossed that it won’t affect their relationship. I mean, it could be a bit too much for Zeke to handle one day. Plus, maybe Mick doesn’t want him to feel everything after some time. Hopefully I’m wrong with this. I don’t want this to happen. My Zekaela heart won’t be able to handle this if they ever break up.

Your final score for this episode:

AM: Gotta give this one a 9!

R: Definitely a 9. DAMN!

M: This was such a good, but sad episode with so much happening. That I am going to give it a 9,5!
