Lies!
Mac(Lucas Till) is at a pet shop in Brazil. He tells the owner he is looking for something exotic, and hands over $20,000 cash. The owner nervously sends Mac and his friend, Frankie(Aly Michalka), to the backroom. There, Mac takes a golden lance head out of its enclosure and milks it for its venom.
They smuggle the venom out of the country in a shaving can, ala Jurassic Park.
Mac is delivering more venom to Frankie. Desi(Levy Tran) calls, and he lies to her about where he is. She tells him she is in his truck, and he runs outside to meet her. He explains that it is a secret research facility to work on cancer treatments. Desi can’t stay angry, and they head back inside.
Stolen Venom
The lab has been ransacked, the researchers all killed. Frankie and the venom are gone.
Nerve Agent
The venom research can be used to make a deadly nerve gas, and someone has taken Frankie and the venom to produce it.
Riley(Tristin Mays) tracks a virus on Frankie’s laptop to a burner phone, which leads to DOD agent Nina Harris(Jenny Cooper). Phoenix decides to work with the DOD to stop the terrorists, find the potential weapon, and rescue Frankie.
Russ(Henry Ian Cusick) thinks that Frankie is in on the kidnapping, but MacGyver isn’t having it. Neither is Matty(Meredith Eaton), and she calms Mac and Russ down to get a plan of action.
Snakes. Lots of Snakes
The team tracks Frankie to a facility in Eucalyptus Hills. Mac pole vaults in, and the team searches for Frankie. There are lots of snakes, much to Riley’s chagrin.
Bozer(Justin Hires) finds out the who…
Now it’s a race against time to capture the bad guys, find the nerve agent, and then contain it before it kills thousands.
