After years of fans waiting for six of their favorite TV characters to reunite, it has been announced that the actors of the popular show Friends will finally come together once more. The show has been off the air for 12 years, but with DVD’s and reruns, nobody can forget the show that made for many laughs and one liners throughout its run.
NBC announced that they will air a 2-hour special in honor of James Burrows (Taxi, The Bob Newhart Show, Cheers), who directed 15 episodes over the 10 seasons that Friends was on air. All six cast members from the series were originally on board for the reunion, but it has since been announced that Matthew Perry will not be in attendance due to scheduling conflicts. However, it is rumored that he will possibly be making an appearance from London, where he is rehearsing for his upcoming play. It is still also up in the air as to whether scheduling will allow for the remaining castmates to all be in the same room at the same time but that is the hopes of NBC entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt.
The special is set to air Sunday, February 21 on NBC.
