Don’t Toy With Me Miss Nagatoro “Whadda You Think Of It Senpai / Come On Just Admit You Want It Senpai” Review

Don’t Toy With Me Miss Nagatoro “Whadda You Think Of It Senpai / Come On Just Admit You Want It Senpai” is the eleventh episode of the Nagatoro anime. With this episode following on from the end of episode 10 where Nagatoro challenges the President of the art club. This episode is almost 100% them preparing ideas to beat her. But it’s split into two parts.

Whadda You Think Of It, Senpai?

The gang are all in the art club trying to think of a way to beat the President. The art club came 6th last year and there are around 60 entries every year. So it clearly did well. With everyone bugging him to let them know how the art exhibit did so well last year Senpai shows them one of the pieces they worked on together. An oil painting of the President nude. She’s got an amazing body too, big breasts and a tiny waist with a full butt. Immediately Nagatoro is the centre of the jokes as she was going to be a model for Senpai but she’s flat. Senpai hears all the teasing and tells them to stop.

Later the next day Nagatoro poses for Senpai in a swimsuit, cosplay and finally nothing but a sheet. Senpai opposes it, clearly for Nagatoro’s sake, but she takes it the wrong way thinking he wants to draw a lewd of the President and storms out.

Come on, Just admit you want it, Senpai!

The days go by and the art room is split into two by a barrier. First and second years go on one side, everyone else on the other. Senpai enters and tries to get to work, he does a still life of some fruit and wine. But the President shows up and tells him it’s terrible because it’s lacking love. Nagatoro goes to enter but sees the President and storms right out. Seeing the look on Senpai’s face, she clearly clocks on to what’s going on here, and tells him to go after her. He chases Nagatoro through the school all the way to the pool where he tells her he wants her to model for him.

Nagatoro isn’t convinced. And in her rage nearly slips off of a small diving board. Senpai ensures her he wants to draw her just as she is because it’s the thing most beautiful to him and they both go beet red. They both end up in the drink. But Nagatoro becomes her teasing self again.

The after credits scene shows Nagatoro and Senpai walking home as he sketches her. She’s curious cos she just doesn’t get it. What’s good about ordinary life. And Senpai replies that you notice things in ordinary life that you normally wouldn’t like how cute she is. Immediately the teasing starts and that’s where it ends.

Review

I loved this one! Just when you think the pair couldn’t get cuter they do. They’ve both practically told each other how they feel at this point but just like awkward teenagers they’re dancing around the emotions part. I loved the characterisation of the President too. She’s not actually a horrid person she’s just really passionate about art, which Senpai probably inadvertently knows which is why he defends her constantly. Whilst that switcheroo is common in anime, I didn’t see it happening here so it was pleasant surprise.

All in all this was an adorable episode with that moment in it when Senpai finally says what he’s been thinking. Whilst it isn’t a full admission and Nagatoro never really goes anywhere with it. It’s an adorable moment that’s worth watching the whole episode for.
