Wednesday Netflix Original Gets New Trailer

Wednesday the new Netflix Original by director Tim Burton has finally revealed a new trailer for it’s show and it looks like it’s going to be full of fun, blood and mystery.

The Mystery Comedy tone of the show is shown almost immediately as the titular character played by Jenna Ortega, throws a school of piranha into the swimming pool as revenge for the jocks, specifically one called Dalton (and having them chew his junk off) picking on her brother; everyone knows that’s her job. The trailer reveals that after numerous expulsions from many schools Morticia, played by Catherine Zeta-Jones and Gomez played by Luis Guzmán decide it’s best to send Wednesday to the place they went and met; Nevermore Academy. There’s a brief glimpse ((and I mean brief) of Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley and Thing but naturally it’s all being kept very hush hush.

The setting seems to revolve around Wednesday finding more information about a murder 25 years prior that concerns her parents somehow as she tries to go through her school life as normally as possible whilst discovering more about her own powers too. As usual Morticia and Gomez’s only worry is for their daughter and they hope she’ll have fun and make friends. Christina Ricci, who played Wednesday Addams in Barry Sonnenfeld’s 1991 movie The Addams Family and its 1993 sequel, will appear in the series as a different character, Marilyn Thornhill.

The released date isn’t quite set yet but the estimation is Autumn (Fall) 2022, just in time for Halloween!
