WATCH | Shadow and Bone Teaser Trailer
Netflix have released the first teaser trailer for their upcoming series Shadow and Bone, based on the best-selling Grishaverse books by Leigh Bardugo.

they’ve also confirmed that the show will air in April 2021.
So what was all that?
The trailer depicts the fabled Morozova’s Stag, a focal feature in the Shadow & Bone novel, as well as a crow flying through. The symbolism in the crow is rife for speculation, but we’re choosing to believe it’s a reference to Kaz Brekker, the Dregs and the notorious Crows Club. We end with the glorious image of light and dark, with Ben Barnes’ character stating that “You and I are going to change the world”, before we get the reveal of the show logo.
An April 2021 release date for the series allows plenty of time to drop further teasers and trailers, and really build the hype of what we’re sure will be a fantastic season.
The show stars Ben Barnes (The Punisher, Westworld, The Chronicles of Narnia franchise), Freddy Carter (Free Reign, Pennyworth), Archie Renaux (Gold Digger), Jessie Mei Li (Last Night In Soho), Kit Young (National Theatre Live: A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Endeavour) and Amita Suman (The Outpost, Doctor Who). Based on the incredibly popular Grishaverse novels by Leigh Bardugo, we’re sure the show will be a huge hit!
