WATCH Marvel’s Iron Fist Trailer

Marvel debut trailer for final instalment in Defenders line-up

New York Comic Con has been a bountiful trove of goodies for upcoming projects. We’ve seen FANdemoniumNetwork fave Theo James in the Underworld: Blood Wars trailer, a TONNE of Shadowhunters love yesterday and then there’s this – the first trailer for Marvel’s Iron Fist.

Yesterday, the core Iron Fist cast of Finn Jones, (Danny Rand), Jessica Henwick (Colleen Wing), Jessica Stroup (Joy Meachum), Tom Pelphrey (Ward Meachum), David Wenham (Harold Meachum) and Rosario Dawson (Claire Temple) joined others from the Marvel/Netflix Defenders team on stage and they debuted this kick ass trailer.

Given what the voice over says about him being a living weapon, and what we have come to expect from the Marvel/Netflix shows thus far I am expecting plenty more of the bone-crunching action that the trailer gives us a glimpse of. Could that be another single take hallway fight as well, a la Daredevil? I suppose we are going to have to wait a while longer to find out.

The official synopsis for Iron Fist, for those who aren’t familiar with the show, is as follows;

Returning to New York City after being missing for years, Daniel Rand fights against the criminal element corrupting New York City with his incredible kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist.

The mystery of the fiery Iron Fist seems to hint at more of the mystic side of the MCU, something we are going to see a lot more of with Doctor Strange on the horizon. Can’t wait to see how Marvel’s Iron Fist ties into the Defenders line up ass well as connecting to the larger MCU.

The show hits Netflix in March 2017. Until then, make sure you are following Marvel’s Iron Fist on twitter, and the main Marvel account for updates.
