The Huntsman: Winter’s War isn’t your typical Snow White tale, and the latest trailer from Universal Pictures promises you’ll “discover the story that came before.”
The prequel to 2012’s Snow White and the Huntsman focuses on the origin story of huntsman Eric (Chris Hemsworth) who was trained in an army of warriors led by Freya (Emily Blunt), the icy sister of Queen Ravenna (Charlize Theron) Eric and his fellow warrior Sara (Jessica Chastain) were two of Freya’s prime fighters, until she banished them for falling in love. Now, years after Ravenna’s defeat, Freya attempts to take back the Magic Mirror, which ends up resurrecting her sister and causes Freya to call on her two most elite warriors to save the day from Ravenna’s wicked rule.
The Huntsman will hit theaters on April 22. Watch the new trailer above.
