WandaVision Episode 5 Review

WandaVision has somehow gotten better. This episode has shown Wanda at her full blown most dangerous but also raised a hell of alot of questions.

Who’s really behind the anomaly and the strange things happening there? Wanda seems just as confused as everyone else sometimes. And why are they targeting her?

Overview

The episode starts with Wanda and Vision playing happy families with their twins. They’re stressed because the babies haven’t stopped crying for days. After a moment of desperation where Wanda tries her powers to stop them, they grow up. Instantly. Within minutes they’re around 10 years old.

Whilst both Wanda and Vision are relieved they’re both confused. Especially seeing as it happened right in front of Agnes and she seems completely unbothered by it.

They go about their lives until Vision goes to work and restores the memories of his “co worker” Norm. He has a complete meltdown until Vision returns him to how he was. Vision has pretty much confirmed for himself that Wanda is at least partially responsible for the strange behaviour of the people in the town.

WandaVision Episode 5
He confronts Wanda and she denies all of it to begin with but then pretty much admits to some of it. But also concedes that she’s just as confused as he is by some things “I don’t even know how all this started.” Is how she leaves it before the door knocks.

Standing on the other side of the door is Pietro, however it’s clearly another Pietro from an alternate universe. Even Wanda is shocked and the show leaves us on that cliffhanger…

Review

Hey remember when I praised the weekly releases in the review for episode 4. I take it back. Episode 6 now! Please! I knew it was gonna happen but it was so well timed and directed that it still had me in shock and yelling when the credits rolled.

I mean there are so many questions to be answered here. Wanda was obviously confused as to some of the events going on in Westview but she obviously knows she’s partially responsible. Add that to the convenient pieces of info that Agnes keeps feeding Vision and her generally being dodgy as hell. She’s obviously somehow involved but how. I need answers dammit!!!

I am now thoroughly invested in WandaVision and cannot wait for Friday! Bring on WandaVision 6!
