Walker : It’s Not What You Think Round Table Review

Season 2 is finally here. Are you guys ready for another roller coaster ride of emotions? This Walker episode is called “It’s Not What You Think” and trust me, you don’t wanna miss out on this one. Joining me (Rike) on this round table review is Kassi. Let’s go!

Walker: It’s Not What You Think Synopsis

Walker (Jared Padalecki) tells his family about the surveillance cameras in their home and partners with Denise (Amara Zaragoza) to lure out whoever is watching them. Liam (Keegan Allen) doesn’t trust Denise, or her husband Dan (Dave Annable), which frustrates Walker.

After everything we’ve seen this episode, do you think that Liam and Cordell will ever be on the same page again anytime soon?

K: Of course they will be. They are brothers! Brothers don’t always see eye to eye but they can never stay on opposite sites for too long. I think Cordell knows deep down that his little brother is right but I guess his guilt is overshadowing that gut feeling. I just hope that they will resolve their issues soon.

R: Let me tell you from experience, they’ll be on the same page again sooner than we think. I’ve got a little brother and we for sure had some fights and stuff like that back in the days. It’s never that deep even though it seems like it is. They’re family after all. Nothing is more important than that, right? They’ll figure it out as grown up people they are.

Walker It‘s Not What

Do you think Walker and Denise will reconcile or maybe even get closer? The way they were looking at each other and the gentle caresses. Was it all truly a fake scenario or is there more to it?

R: I totally agree with what Kassi said. They probably won’t get any closer. Walker wants to get this little war between the two families fixed pretty soon but there’s nothing romantic in any way. That’s just Walker’s personality. The way he’s dealing with such situations. Nothing more than friendship in my opinion.

K: I honestly don’t think that they will get closer. I think acting like a couple made them remember the time when they were kids and had crushes on each other. They were probably just feeling nostalgic – nothing more.

Will Micki (Lindsey Morgan) get the help she needs for her PTSD before leaving the show? And now since she’s slowing down at work, what do you think she’ll focus on?

K: First of all, I’m going to miss both Micki and Lindsey so much. But yeah I hope that Micki will get help for that. Unfortunately I don’t think she will. At least not now. She needs to be honest with herself first and I don’t think that she was able to do that so far. But I gotta say, realizing that she has to take a step back from work was a great first step in the right direction. Let’s hope that she will use that time to focus on herself and her feelings.

R: PTSD is and will never be an easy thing to deal with. It takes time. A lot of time. If she’ll get the help she needs soon, it’s still not like you can change all the feelings and everything else overnight. As Kassi already said, Micki needs to be honest with herself and continue doing so. It will be a tough way to get back on her feet, but I do believe that she’ll be able to do this. It’s Micki we are talking about. She got this. Truly don’t wanna think about her leaving the show soon. I’m gonna be an emotional mess. No lies detected. About the second question, she’ll probably have time to start focusing on herself. Thinking about everything that happened and will happen in the future. Make a decision on what to do next. Something like that?

Walker It‘s Not What

Liam is still suspicious about the whole situation with Dan. Why do you think they hate each other so much? Is it just because of the fire?

R: I wish I could say anything else than Kassi already did. She summarized the whole situation perfectly. Liam should talk about his feelings with Walker. Not about the hate but about the fear of losing his brother. Walker should be the best person to understand how Liam is feeling right now. Of course, we don’t know for sure if that’s really the reason Liam is so all into this stuff. Maybe there’s something else hidden in the past which we don’t know yet. Maybe there will be more flashback scenes anytime soon. But these scenarios seem pretty much likely to be true, right? Still don’t like Dan and his pretty suspicious behavior, even though he’s pretty good looking sadly.

K: Like Denise said, family means everything to Dan. The Davidsons are his family. He thinks it’s his job to keep them safe – and he thinks that the Walker family is the biggest threat to his family. That’s why he seems to hate them so much. Furthermore, I think that there is a lot of jealousy between Liam and Denise. As a kid Liam felt like Denise was taking his big brother away from him because all of Cordell’s attention was focused on her and not him. And I think that deep down Liam is afraid that this will happen again – that he will lose Cordell. For real this time.

Your score:

K: 7.5
