Timothy Innes cast in Fallen TV Series
Timothy Innes, who played the role of King Edward of Wessex in Netflix’s The Last Kingdom has been confirmed as part of the cast for a new TV series adaptation of The Fallen series of YA books by Lauren Kate. Innes is set to play bad boy Cameron ‘Cam’ Briel (aka my fave character in the series).
The Fallen Series
For the unfamiliar, the books are centred on a young girl named Luce, who is sent to an incredibly strict boarding/reform school called Sword and Cross after the death of a boy which she seemed to play a part in. There she finds herself torn between two other students, Daniel, with whom she has a mysterious connection, and the aforementioned Cam. There are four books in the main series (Fallen, Torment, Passion, Rapture), with an additional book featuring some of the secondary characters (Fallen in Love) AND one that centres on Cam himself (Unforgiven). So he’s a MAJOR player in the story.
It will be interesting to see if they stick with Innes current hair colour, or dye it to match book Cam’s black shaggy ‘do. In the previous movie adaptation, Cam was played by Aussie Harrison Gilbertson.
As far as details on the series – so far we know that Innes will join Alexander Siddig, Sarah Niles (Ted Lasso), Jessica Alexander (Get Even), Gijs Blom (The Letter for the King) in the production, which has already begun principal photography. It will also be streaming (currently exclusively) on Brazilian service Globopay. Per Variety it looks like the first season will consist of eight 60 minute long episodes.

FIRST IMAGE
We have got our first look at Luce, played by Jessica Alexander, and Cam, played by Timothy Innes.
Seems like Cam will be blonde in this version, but from what I can see here, Tim certainly has the attitude down!

I am definitely going to be keeping an ear to the ground on this one as I love this series, so as soon as I hear anything more I will update accordingly.
