The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young Lady “The Rainbow Magic Sword of Longing and Reminiscence” is the third episode of the Magical Revolution anime. Following up from the blunt ending of episode 2, Sometime after moving in with Anisphia, Euphyllia still has trouble getting used to life at the Separate Palace. To begin her tenure as Anisphia’s assistant, she is made to try out some of her inventions but struggles at operating the magic brooms that the princess created as part of her flight experiments. Meanwhile, Orfans and Grantz launch an investigation into the engagement cancelation incident and summon Euphyllia to give testimony during which she also returns the royal privileges granted to her by her fiancé status. While free of her engagement, Euphyllia laments how she is now without a purpose in life. Later, Anisphia approaches Euphyllia with a present: a magical sword crafted specifically for her named Arc-en-Ciel; the rainbow sword.
Review
This was definitely the uplift the show needed after the last episode. No matter how down Euphilia gets Anis is always there to cheer her on. The two bouncing off of each other’s personalities is what this show will base it success on and if this episode is anything to go by, we’re all in for a treat because these two are so cute! I still don’t know why the engagement was cancelled but I wouldn’t be shocked if Algard turns out to be on of the higher ups who doesn’t want to share magic with the commoners considering it’s a plot line that keeps being brought up as much as possible. No way that’s not gonna come into it somewhere at some point.
Whatever’s next, I can’t wait! The show’s back to having it’s hooks in me.
