Spy X Family “Prepare For The Interview” Review

Spy X Family “Prepare For The Interview” is the third episode of the Spy X Family anime. Following the acquisition of a wife in episode 2. Loid, Yor and Anya need to practise for the Interview to get Anya into school. The problem is, most of what Anya knows comes from her reading minds and Yor is obsessed with killing and can’t really think of anything else. Loid suggests that they all go on an outing to do what a normal upper class family would do so they can get used to it and not stick out. Cue adorable family outing episode!

What a Cute Family

Whilst it’s obvious everyone is still obsessed with their own individual problems, they all show signs of normalness, even enjoyment during their day out. Anya has a couple of slip ups as she reads Yor’s mind which I’m glad was in the show because it’s a good way to remind the audience of how she really is just a normal little girl.

They even go so far as to include how into his work he is that Loid doesn’t notice a slip up Anya makes. She says during the final practice the exact words he used to the thief when he took him down but Anya was ages away and could never have heard it as he muttered it. Loid notices it’s a weird thing to say but doesn’t question how Anya heard him say it. Maybe it’s just me being picky and picking on something that isn’t actually there but I doubt it, nothing in this show is an accident, as much as it can come across as a wholesome funny spy show. It’s also a show that has small hints as to how the characters are progressing. I assume, Loid will start to pick up on things in later episodes and if not Yor will.
