Superman & Lois “All Is Lost” Roundtable

Things are really ramping up now as we barrel towards the season finale of Superman & Lois “All Is Lost” is episode 13, unlucky for some. PurpleBrina and Clare are back again to get into it this week.

Superman & Lois “All Is Lost” Synopsis

Clark (Tyler Hoechlin) and Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch) disagree on the best way to figure out if Ally Allston (Rya Kihlstedt) went to the Inverse World; John Henry (Wole Parks) makes a surprising discovery; Lois sets out to find Lucy (Jenna Dewan).

Lana (Emmanuelle Chriqui) kinda freaks out on Sarah (Inde Navarrette) for singing at a bar with her dad. Do you think she is right or do you think she is still stressed out over Superman’s secret?

C: I don’t think the Clark secret is helping, but I do think she has an awful lot on her plate that probably made her snap. That said, she’s absolutely in the wrong for taking it out on Sarah. It’s 100% not on Sarah that her dad had an affair, or that her parents’ marriage broke up, or that her dad took her to that bar while attempting to spend some quality time with his daughter.

PB: I think she is a ball of stress and she is just taking it out on her daughter. I honestly think she is taking this Superman secret thing too far. She is kinda being a bitch about it. I feel like she needs to chill out and stop over thinking this whole thing.

Clark tells his boys that they have to stay away from Sarah and Lana. They didn’t take it well at all. Do you think Jordan (Alex Garfin) will be able to stay away from Sarah?

PB: Jordan is heartbroken. He is not going to listen at all. I am honestly surprised he has told Sarah his secret yet.

C: I think now that he has also spoken to Lana he probably will, at least for a while. Still think he probably will tell her at some point though.

John Henry and Natalie (Tayler Buck) fight over her super suit she made for herself. What do you think of her suit?

C: LOVE IT! The moment when John Henry realises she didn’t  just make another suit… she made a better suit was awesome. He probably should have seen this coming since she did help him build his suit, and she’s been dying to get involved she arriving on this earth.

PB: I love her suit and he is upset but he will get over it. She is his daughter. She is smart and he will need her help.

While trying to distract the boys with chores Clark leaves Jonathan (Jordan Elsass) alone while he takes Jordan off to the Fortress to learn to fly. Do you think Jonathan’s reaction when they got back was fair?

C: Absolutely. Especially as last week Natalie was talking about giving him the suit to at least level the playing field a bit, and now he’s back to being powerless Jonathan, the one everyone ignores. It’s kinda easy to see how the Bizarro version ended up the way he did, even with powers.

PB: I feel sorry for Jonathan. No powers, no friends, No girlfriend, he really is a low place. Maybe Natalie and John Henry could build him a super suit. I know that in the comic books he gets powers but I am not sure if this series will have him get them. But wouldn’t it be cool if they ended the season with Jonathan getting his powers.

Lucy is back and still causing trouble. Would you go through all this to save your sister from herself? Or would you let her go and learn her life lesson?

PB: I honestly would have let her go. She keeps making so much trouble for everyone and she is so hardheaded. Lucy needs to wake up and see that Ally is bad news.

C: I can’t believe someone can be that pig-headed in the face of people who love and care about her to carry on thinking that the terrifyingly powerful woman in front of her is still “good”.

Ally shows up and sucks the life out of both Superman and Sam (Dylan Walsh). Do you think they will be able to stop her before she hurts anyone else?

C: I dunno know, figuring out she can just merge the two worlds makes her seem pretty fricking unstoppable. Also – how is there another world for her to merge? I thought the whole Crisis on Infinite Earths thing got rid of every other one apart from Earth Prime?

PB: She seems unstoppable to me. I am not sure how they are going to get her uncontrol or kill her.

Ally sucked Superman’s powers out. He is normal now. Do you think he will get them back soon or will Jordan have to fight him?

PB: I hope he can just sunbathe and get his powers back ASAP. Cause I am not sure Jordan could handle fighting Ally.  Honestly I am kinda sick of Superman being weak. I feel like he is getting his ass handed to him this season. I am not sure if I like it. He is supposed to be a superhero, not weak.

C:  Kara used to get her powers drained every other episode on Supergirl (or that’s how it felt) and they just shoved her in one of those natty sunlight pods they had at the DoD and she was fine again in a few hours. There’s no way Jordan is strong enough to fight Ally, even if he had John Henry and Natalie backing him up, he barely just learned to fly. Also, that must have been so hard for Lois, not to cry out for her husband while Ally was doing that to him, so she didn’t reveal his secret to her sister.

Superman & Lois “All Is Lost” Episode Rating:

PB: 7.5

C: 7
