Tomodachi Game “Do You Really Have Nothing You Care About?” Review
Tomodachi Game “Do You Really Have Nothing You Care About?” is the eleventh episode of the Tomodachi Game anime. This episode finally reveals the “twist” at the end of episode 10 that Group C won the third game, not Group K. Not on the technicality I assumed either, that no-one is allowed to attack anyone in the opposite group. They lose because Juuzou Kadokura pressed the give up button after being threatened by Yuichi over the phone. Yuichi was beating the crap out of Hyakutarou and threatened to break his finger if he didn’t give in and press the button, he breaks his own but the noise is enough to make Kadokura press the button out of panic. After winning the third game everyone is allowed to go home. When they get back to school, Yuichi and Tenji discover through Kokorogi that Sawaragi and Shibe have disappeared. Sawaragi was dogpiled before by people who assumed she’d stolen the money, Shibe trying to help her stepped in and promised to reimburse everyone but clearly told his dad about the Tomodachi Game because Shibe is next seen being carted away with blood stained clothes, his father apparently killed, similar to what happened to Tenji. Yuichi yells at Kokorogi that she’s no longer their friend to protect her but they both get a call showing that she’s now a hostage that they can either choose to save or ignore.
Yuichi Outsmarted?
I loved this episode, everyone was so sure Group C would win though the punch technicality and it turns out they were wrong, not being sure about where this show will go is normal cos it’s always pulling the wool over your eyes. Did I ever believe Group K would give up? Maybe without Kei manoeuvring them all to where they needed to be.
The whole thing was wild! As soon as Sawaragi and Shibe went “missing” I knew something must’ve happened to Shibe, Sawaragi we know has deep connections here. It didn’t stop it being heart breaking though, Shibe was one of my favourite characters, I hope nothing happens to him.
Kokorogi is still suspicious as all hell, I 100% do not trust her, I wonder if Yuichi is thinking along the same lines, just doesn’t wanna reveal too much about his true nature in front of him.
