Review: DC’s Legends of Tomorrow 608: Stressed Western
Legends 608: Sara hasn’t told anyone about her situation. She just wants a normal mission that will be like the good old days. Constantine wants his magic back, like the good old days. Nate wants everyone to stop bickering for five minutes.
Breakfast
The crew is making a breakfast for a champion. They want it to be just right for Sara(Caity Lotz) when she wakes up. Rory(Dominic Purcell) gets a juicy steak.
Ava(Jes Macallan) delivers the breakfast in bed, and Sara is oddly not hungry. She finally admits what happened to her, and tells Ava all that she wants is a nice, normal mission. She also asks Ava not to tell the others just yet.
Yee Haw!
The crew heads to 1891, where an alien has been located in one of the most lawless old west towns.
Except that it isn’t very lawless. Everyone is happy, no alcohol or cussing is allowed, and no fornicatin’, neither. It also has a narrator(Duane Keogh)!
Sara gets a taste for cherry milkshakes.
Behrad(Shayan Sobhian) falls for a townie named Irma Rose(AnnaLynne McCord), and Current Zari(Tala Ashe) immediately berates him for it.
Bass Reeves is considered a bad guy.
A lawless man named Levi Stapleton(Nic Bishop) runs the town, which further stumps historian Nate(Nick Zano).
Something ain’t right, for sure.
When someone gets angry at Astra, the ground shakes, and a very covered in yellow metal worm comes out of the ground and eats him.
Astra(Olivia Swann) and Spooner(Lisseth Chavez) don’t get along, so Ava teams them up. They go into the woods and find the giant worm alien. It roots out/poops out gold. Astra wants that gold because of reasons.
The Fountain of Imperium
Constantine(Matt Ryan) is looking for the celestial fountain that Aleister Crowley(Matt Lucas) mentioned. It is his best chance for regaining his powers. He also knows Gary(Adam Tsekhman) knows where it’s at. He heads to the old west to ask for Gary’s help to track it down. Gary cracks, and Constantine heads out, leaving Zari and the ship, to find the Fountain. I think that is a wise move-good on you, John.
Shootout

Sara challenges Levi to a duel, and Levi accepts. He is holding the whistle that controls the alien worm. He cheats, shooting her in the head. She heals up, much to everyone’s surprise. Bass Reeves(David Ramsey) shows up, and only Nate seems to notice that he very much resembles
Diggle?!
With Reeves’ help, Sara stops Levi. but…it ain’t over. The worm is also a cash cow, what with all the gold. The townies want to keep the worm. The worm gets turned(to ash), and the crew leave, now knowing what Sara is. They’re cool with it.
Also, the crew tries to keep the Town Narrator. Ava says no.
