Revenge Season 3 part one of 4 recap
As season 4 fast approaches airing on September 28th in the US, I have decided to do a four part recap, splitting the season in three bite size chunks, the show has so much detail and intelligence in its plots and revenge tactics I feel a full recap would not do it justice or may go on for too long and I will recap the last episode with all the major questions we have ready for the new season to arrive.
As the season begins we are reminded how season two ended Nolan Ross is arrested for his computer programme and the death of Padma, Declan dies in heart surgery after complications with his stents which enrages Jack, Victoria opens the door to a figure and believes she has found Patrick, the son she gave up for a promising art career, Conrad is making a run for Governor and a bloodied up Daniel stands by his side, just as Emily rushes to stop Jack from shooting Conrad in anger for the loss of Amanda and Declan, Emily tells him she is Amanda and that is how it ended (what a cliff-hanger).
Episode 1 Fear
We start the season as we always do with the mid-season danger taster, the main act that will split the season and gets us ready to build up to it, Emily is standing on a yacht in a beautiful white dress she turns with a glass of bubbly in her hands and is shot twice in the stomach, she falls back into the water and floats. We now go to two months earlier and where our season starts Emily is sunbathing in New York in the home she is sharing with Daniel. Victoria is horse riding with a very handsome blonde Male played By Justin Hartley (Smallville fans will rejoice for he was a green leather-bound archer) He and Victoria seem close, how close we are unsure of yet, Charlotte turns up and we discover she has lost the baby she was carrying (big change for her) as well as losing Declan. Jack and Carl have been out-of-town and the bar has been closed, he has been to see extended family, when he sees Emily they kiss and he says he feels nothing for her.
Nolan is released from prison and Emily meets him at the gates and they hug, she takes him to a beach front property and chucks him the keys, he mentions the programme the initiative stole from him and that he coded it to prove his innocence and finger the members of the initiative, he also mentions his company doesn’t exist and he won’t have a penny to his name anymore. Emily has made arrangements for a big party to begin the summer period in the Hampton’s, trying to get all the Grayson’s back together since they have spread out and stopped talking, we discover Ashley who has been left out of the groupings tries to blackmail Emily into keeping her in the circles of the rich, (we all know that’s not a very good idea don’t we).
Our Blonde hunk we soon find out is Patrick Victoria’s long lost son, he is confronted when he comes out of the Shower by an angry Charlotte (something is up with her she doesn’t even blink at the perfection that is Justin’s chest) this all leads him to leave and go back to his freelance painting career, upsetting Victoria making her feel used. At the party Emily introduces Ashley to a very Fine doctor to keep her blackmailing mouth quiet, she walks to see the Grayson’s who are all making themselves seem fairly family like for the good of the Governors’ campaign as he tries to become a presidential candidate, security is high and for a moment we wonder what is going on as a man parachutes into the middle of the party, it’s Nolan, ripping of his jump suit and you see a white suit underneath (now that is an entrance I never expected from him). Conrad seems out of sorts by this entrance as he is not keen on Nolan since the initiative demise was at Nolan’s hands and Grayson Global no longer exists. Emily hands Conrad a bottle of water she was given by Daniel and presents the crowd with Conrad’s portrait he begins a speech and slurs before he collapses on the floor.
The doctor walks in and says he did a full panel and that Conrad has Huntingdon’s disease, they all seem shocked and decide to keep it quiet, Daniel goes and announces all will be well it was just dehydration, moments later the press rush in as somehow someone has told them its Huntingdon’s which means he can no longer run as a presidential candidate, they try to figure out who it was and knowing the doctor was chatting up Ashley all fingers point to her. Emily gets back to her Hampton home and Jack is waiting, he says this has to be over by the end of summer or he will reveal the secret of who she is. Victoria and Emily team up (OMG wow is all I can think) and make Ashley leave back home for England, she is not welcome and with both strong woman against her it could be deadly. Daniel is sat researching Huntingdon’s disease when Emily gets back and with how ill Conrad could get they set a wedding date the 8th of August, she goes for a swim whilst Daniel lets the family know, Victoria is not happy about the date, but now she has Conrad’s health to deal with as they are under the same roof again. Charlotte lets Victoria know she frightened off Patrick and all seems not well between them and charlotte moves out, Victoria goes to her balcony and the man who turns round is Aiden Mathis, who tells Victoria what she wants to hear, that he has a vendetta against the girl next door. (now what has he got planned? is he against her? or is this part of the plan?).
We finish with Emily on the beach with Nolan sitting by a fire, they are talking about how much time they have , how Nolan’s drop into the party was to get in a substance that caused Conrad to pass out and that Emily planted into the computer the Huntingdon’s disease diagnosis and then that the wedding is set to help with the matter at hand, Nolan asks the date and she says the 8th of august, Nolan laughs and takes a stick and draws an eight in the sand and a chill runs down my back as it’s the sign of infinity and then he draws another eight for august being the eighth month and the chill I have gets stronger as the 8th of August is the sign of Double infinity ( I love the double infinity sign it’s so beautiful), the sign her dad drew and explained for her as a child and her tattoo and it just all wraps up nicely.
Episode 2 Sin
We open with the yacht we saw Emily on in the slight glimpse of the season ahead, Victoria is lounging on a bed and Aiden walks on deck to talk to her, he sounds like he has a vendetta and wants to seek revenge for Emily’s betrayal to him. Daniel has found a job he wants to do, helping Margot who made a small appearance in the last episode, run the American version of a magazine her father runs in France, she knew Daniel from a few years back (could she be a problem or a spanner in the works?). Conrad is on a booze rampage and Charlotte is trying to get him moving again. Nolan is seeing a nice looking hot totty of a man out and Emily says he needs to be careful as she has to trust him with the Infinity box. They discuss her next target in her campaign and she says he works for a higher power, we then see a vicar in a church and Emily and Daniel walk up to greet him, Father Paul is his name and he used to entice people in Grayson Global against her father, (I can’t wait to see what is in store for him).
Jack is crossing things of a menu and charlotte has popped in to see her nephew and they talk about how they can’t believe Amanda and Declan are gone. Father Paul arrives at Grayson Manor and he and Victoria exchange details of how they never wanted to see each other again, he tells her that he is presiding over the wedding for Daniel and Emily. He gets the same cold reception from Conrad and even though he tries to say that Conrad will need to come to terms with his sins in the end he needs someone and he is alone, Father Paul says he is there for him. Emily and Daniel are having dinner with Margot, Emily leaves them to chat and sort out details making sure they can run this magazine, she bumps into charlotte, who now has a bitterness to her, she doesn’t trust Emily as she believes that she told Ashley about the affair and storms off (she is turning into her mother and trusts no one as she has lost so much).
Nolan is in orange jeans (does not suit him) and is baking muffins in the kitchen, something he picked up from prison. He hands over material showing that all signs point to Father Paul being a good saint, Emily still wants to take him down as he wronged her father, Nolan stresses that once she starts taking down the Kittens he is out. Back at the manor Victoria is not happy about her painting being taken down, Conrad says they need to make money to keep up appearances as they do not know where the millions went, Emily turns up with muffins that she (*cough* Nolan *cough*) baked and Conrad is pleased, Emily tries to invite Patrick to the wedding but Victoria wants to keep him away, far, far away. Emily is dressed in her bad girl track suit, she calls Father Paul in a scared small voice, he turns up and she knocks him out. Margot and Daniel have got an investor and discuss his job, they go into an office and she undresses in front of him.
Victoria knocks on Nolan’s Door and welcomes him to the neighbourhood with a basket of muffins, (his muffin’s), she starts inquiring about his ability to get into bank accounts and tries to tell her he is a computer free zone now. Emily is handing out glasses for the summer Hampton’s dinner, Charlotte still gives a cold reception to Emily and Daniel turns up late no tie slightly unkempt, Victoria has called a dinner to introduce them all to Patrick, whilst this is going on Aiden is breaking into Emily’s house, Conrad is on the booze and they are not too keen on patrick and he jokes about the DNA test in his other jacket, Emily pours something in Conrad’s drink, Victoria stands her ground about how they are treating him as he has done nothing wrong and then Conrad has a turn and smashes a glass and again Charlotte tells Patrick to get lost.
Emily and Daniel talk about the job, Emily is trying to convince him to take it and he isn’t sure (maybe because he and Margot are closer than she knows). Emily turns up to talk to Patrick and he almost shuts the door in her face. Baby Carl is restless and Charlotte is having trouble calming him and she blames herself for what happened to Declan, she lied about where she was and he was at the offices looking for her. Nolan takes out the infinity box from its new hiding place and reads a journal page David asking her to forgive, the thing her he couldn’t do, Emily is angry with him for going through her things. Charlotte confronts Conrad about the bomb in the building that killed Declan and is angry at how he knew about it and walks off after a nasty word. Father Paul is giving a sermon and Emily puts some photos in an envelope and places it in the basket for contributions, Emily is discussing the wedding with Father Paul. Father Paul takes Emily around the parish showing the people he helps and Emily has second thoughts about her plan, but she sees it’s too late.
Aiden and Victoria have a conversation to which Aiden says Emily has the Grayson fortune, putting a lot of hatred back at Emily. Emily is in the church at the candles saying sorry to her father and sees Conrad is seeking out Father Paul, but he is gone and he seems upset and they discuss that you reap what you sow. We finish the episode with Emily saying Nolan was right and she needs to fix the problem that she created with Father Paul and she believes he can convince Conrad to confess.
Episode 3 Confession
We start off with Conrad lying in his bed, Charlotte walking round him and picking up a knife and stabbing him, then he wakes up, Emily walks in with pastries for him talking of a guilty conscience and asking him who he can count on to talk to. Aiden is meeting up with Victoria saying that Emily is the one with the fortune, saying he was wronged by how she was seeing Aiden behind Daniels back, trying to get her to get Daniel to doubt Emily’s love. Nolan is getting his apartment ready for a house-warming and talks of Father Paul back and get Conrad to confess to help clear David’s name. Margot and Daniel are arguing over interviewing Nolan Ross for the Magazine, he is dead set against it and she is in charge and says it will go ahead. Father Paul sits in the confessional and is surprised to find a female voice saying she is willing to forgive him and she will help him but, he needs to do something for her. Victoria and Conrad get into an argument about the fact he went out in his car but is banned for driving because of his illness all in front of Patrick.
Charlotte is trying to persuade Jack to go to Nolan’s house warming, she gets him to accept Margot as a plus one. Victoria starts asking questions to get Daniel to think again about Emily, saying about the fact she brought Nolan’s house and was having an affair with Aiden, Daniel throws back at her about the fact she keeps secrets(he really does stick up for Emily in front of his mother). Nolan is on the phone planning his party and Patrick is sun bathing (that chest attracts Nolan as well as most of the female audience) and Nolan invites Patrick to the party, without realising who he is, Patrick accepts. Emily walks in to the house and Daniel starts asking questions about Aiden and Nolan, Nolan walks in wearing a t-shirt with himself on it (it’s his arrest photo, that is epic). Charlotte gets Jack to have a new tailored suit for Nolan’s party asking him to enjoy life and look after himself and not just others, he reluctantly agrees. Emily goes to see Conrad and drops the bombshell to Victoria that Patrick was invited to Nolan’s party, Emily talks with Conrad about how he feels he is being punished for his sins, she goes on about confessions and sins, just as Father Paul knocks at the door.
Nolan’s party is in full swing, pool wear mostly seen as well as lovely suits, Daniel see’s Margot with Nolan and is not pleased with it, she is stating she is in charge yet again, Emily seems not too pleased that Margot is Jacks date. Conrad and Paul talk about confession and his crimes and he lets him know that he is alone and doesn’t want to die alone, letting him know that charlotte is David’s daughter and what he did to him must not have been easy to hear, and if he comes clean he might be able to set things right by his family and be his daughters saviour. Emily and charlotte have a small conversation and charlotte again storms off, just then Aiden and Victoria turn up and Emily does not seem happy, Daniel has a go at Victoria for how she brought Aiden, whilst Emily and Aiden seem to have a heated argument, when Victoria tries to aid by saying Emily has their money (big mistake), then Emily announces in the argument about the fact the Grayson’s are bankrupt for all the party to hear (the smile on Emily’s face is awesome). Nolan and Patrick after the party have a conversation about the fact Patrick doesn’t want to get caught up in the argument between Emily and Victoria. Father Paul says that if Conrad doesn’t confess he will, as the anger he felt at being framed for a small crime pales in comparison to what David must have felt.
Daniel says to Margot he spoke to her father and she has to pull the Nolan story or he will pull all the investors, they both argue about spending their life being pushed around by others, she storms out angry. Aiden now says how he made a mistake about the bank accounts and Emily doesn’t have the Grayson money, Victoria says she is going to destroy Emily. Daniel and Emily have an argument about security in the house, he is says that he shot Aiden after an argument about Emily and that he is back for revenge. Conrad tell Victoria that he is going to hand himself in and paying for his mistakes and she has an argument and say he is only doing this to save his soul, they argue as always about who cares for the family and clear David’s name, she slaps him and cuts his face and then starts throwing stuff at him, he drives of in his Lamborghini with Father Paul. Emily is on the Beach and Aiden is behind her, he says that Victoria took the bait, Victoria has let him stay at the manor, she says he strayed from the plan, Daniel has now installed security at her house and he says the plan worked, Aiden shows Emily where he was shot. Emily drives up to a car on fire, Conrad’s Car and she finds Father Paul on the floor and Conrad walking towards her (I knew he wouldn’t get to confess that is too easy).
Episode 4 Mercy
We begin with Conrad and Father Paul being wheeled into the ER, Emily is worried (quite rightly). Victoria talks about how Conrad will ruin her by telling the truth, Patrick makes her feel better by saying she can restart by selling the collection she has, but she says she can’t abandon her children. Calls are made to all the family, Charlotte is ignoring her phone and asks jack if he will take Margot to the wedding, Jack says he is not going as he needs a break from Emily. We are back at the hospital and Father Paul is not doing ok, the panels are out and they are shocking him, Time of death is announced and Emily walks down the corridor, she sees Patrick and asks how it is, she announces that Father Paul is dead and he sees she is upset, Daniel has forbidden him from seeing Conrad and says he will be at the manor. Conrad is battered and Victoria still argues about his confession, Conrad says that Father Paul was at the wheel when the accident happened as Conrad is not allowed to drive with Huntingdon’s disease.
Victoria is looking to be an art consultant at a local gallery, she has to swallow her pride to accept a job, her new boss Sheila says it will bring lots of people to the gallery if she is working there. Emily goes to talk to Daniel and sees him paying off the police about the accident, as she leaves someone at the magazine asks her if Daniel is free for a personal comment about himself for an article, Emily says she can give them a personal detail (I bet she will). Nolan is by the beach with Patrick (the wardrobe department luckily for us are lacking in tops) he is saying he thinks it’s time to move on, how he isn’t welcome in the Grayson household. Conrad is calling Charlotte and leaving a message, when he gets a call from the police (who oddly is in his phone by name) and he tells him to sort out the car problem, Aiden walks in and over hears this, Conrad confronts him for being there and he says he has moved into the beach house, as he walks away he calls Emily to let her know where the car is.
Emily goes to tell jack that Conrad probably won’t confess, he wants to help but she won’t let him, after she leaves jack makes a phone call about needing information. Daniel is angry that Emily gave details about his drink driving conviction that has gone to print, they have an argument and she leaves, he says if she walks out he won’t be there when she gets back, but she still leaves. Victoria is talking of needing support from Daniel and Charlotte and Patrick feels a little left out. Nolan who lifted Patrick’s wallet wants to find out info about his past is having a conversation with himself about using technology again as it gets him in trouble (its adorable the way he talks to himself). Patrick is at the gallery and holding a piece of Victoria’s artwork to sell it for himself and starts to talk about how she is not all straight in the art world so she agrees to sell it for him. Emily in her bad girl track suit is at the scrap yard and Jack turns up, Jack took video of the car showing the airbag was taken, they know Conrad was driving, but then the car is taken, Jack wants to tell that Conrad was driving without Emily’s help (she isn’t happy).
Victoria is at the gallery trying to stay strong with all the comments and looks she is getting, Emily turns up and helps with the mood by saying she will maybe help with the first commission. Daniel admits him helping clear his dads name is for himself and the magazine launch, much to Conrad’s disapproval. Nolan who is out-of-town sits and talks to a blonde on a bench, he talks about her Ex Husband Patrick (a skeleton), she tells him he is a user and a liar, she goes to walk off and he says he needs details and would twenty thousand help her to tell all the details. Victoria confronts Sheila about the painting she sold and despite knowing Patrick is involved, they have words and Victoria makes her leave and hand the gallery over to her (I did not see that coming). Victoria exits the building and Patrick meets her, it turns out they planned it to get her to own the gallery and it worked. Jack took the evidence he had to an expert and they have found out that the brakes were tampered with and Conrad was not at fault. Conrad has called everyone in for some news and they all sit down waiting for him, Conrad steps on his meds saying he does not suffer from Huntingdon’s disease and that stress and Huntingdon’s medication were the cause, he now says he is reclaiming his position as master of the house, Emily is not happy as he will not confess now.
Daniel is not happy with Emily and questions why he wants to marry her, they speak and he says he is not going home with her. Nolan talks to Patrick about finding his wallet and then makes a move on him, Patrick steps back a bit and then after Nolan explaining himself Patrick steps in and kisses him. Jack can’t believe that Emily is still going ahead with the wedding, he deduces she is going to take them down at the wedding, he wants to be there and she doesn’t want him to get involved. We end this episode with Conrad talking to Victoria, he wants Aiden out of his house, but Aiden manages to stay by saying that someone tried to kill him and then blames Jack for it (when Emily finds out she will be furious, I know I am).
Episode 5 Control
We open to a garage full of old cars, a storm outside and the alarm switching off, then Emily in her bad girl track suit enters and is looking at the tools, Aiden stops her and says what she needs to hear that Conrad has no idea that someone cut the brakes (Liar, Liar) and she leaves. Margot is trying to convince Jack to be her plus one for the magazine launch, she wants someone not involved in it all at her side, it takes some talking but she convinces him. Conrad back to full strength wants to get to the bottom of the brakes on the car, he is talking to an investigator and blames Jack, the guy says destroying the car was not good and makes finding out more difficult, Aiden walks in as the other guy leaves asking why an investigator has been hired, Conrad explains that he is recommended by people he trusts (showing no one really trusts Aiden) he uses the idea of getting charlotte back to him to aid keeping him in the house. Patrick is sketching the pool lines as Daniel turns up and again has hostility towards him, but apologizes for this and is surprised when Emily shows up as well, as she is taking charlotte and Victoria shopping for wedding outfits, Daniel is still not in the best of moods with Emily and doesn’t really say much to her.
The ladies are trying on dresses, Victoria has a deep dark red colour dress that contours her body, Charlotte has a black tight dress as Emily said she can choose what she wears and she doesn’t mind not being too traditional, as Emily goes to change charlotte and Victoria are discussing Emily’s past and how she broke the last engagement off. Nolan walks into the gallery that Patrick is in whilst Victoria is out, talking about how he knows he is gay, Patrick knows Nolan paid twenty grand to his ex-wife and is not happy. Daniel and Margot are discussing the next issue about their wedding and they need to know more about Emily, (I wonder if they can dig anything up and what it will stir up). Conrad asks if Charlotte has come home and Victoria doesn’t speak nicely to him still, they discuss how jack has turned her against him. Jack walks into his home to find Aiden sitting there with his baseball bat, Aiden says that Grayson wants him gone and that he is trying to help him by giving him time to get out-of-town (I’m thinking Aiden still wants Emily). Emily hands some covert equipment to Aiden, she is trying to keep the wedding on track and that’s her focus, Nolan says that “the more strings you pull, the more easily it is to get strangled”. Victoria talks to a swimsuit clad Aiden saying that Jack is important to how her plan works out, he is now trying to please two masters Conrad and Victoria.
Victoria asks to speak to Emily they are both dressed up ready for the magazine launch and look amazing, Victoria is talking about the car accident and there is evidence of tampering and that Conrad thinks Jack is involved. (I see Victoria is using this to try to stop the wedding) The magazine launch party looks great, camera flashes all over, music playing and people talking. Charlotte is looking slightly happier, she is proud of Daniel and what he is done. Emily goes to warn Jack about Conrad and see’s he is leaving that he was warned about it by someone and the next time someone won’t give him the time to run, Jack goes on about how Emily is not the little girl he knew from the beach anymore. Victoria goes on about the fact Emily is not at the launch, Daniel says he will handle it. Emily and Aiden argue over Jack and how he is in the way and he is acting out of jealousy and that she has played into Victoria’s hands. Nolan visits Patrick and talks about how he is not good with dealing with people, Nolan says it’s a defence and he has trust issues, he says that if he wants to give him another chance to come and find him. Victoria walks into Margot’s office to see her ripping out pages of a magazine disappointment that her father did not come to the launch, she says he refuses to come to the launch, that he hates what she has done, Victoria says Margot needs to learn how to control powerful men instead of being controlled by them. Aiden is looking at the security log for the garage to see if he can work out who tampered the brakes, each person has a specific alarm code. Daniel and Emily argue over the fact that Emily is not committed to this wedding and he doesn’t want to marry her anymore, she is not happy about this as it messes with the plans. Emily can’t let him stop the wedding and Nolan helps Emily realise he has changed and she doesn’t know what to do, Nolan says that she can’t give Daniel the real her as that is what he wants, she needs to get past the point of not showing him who she is, she needs to share a piece of herself.
Victoria has a conversation about relationships with Patrick and receives a text from Aiden saying they need to talk. Emily is in the stowaway looking for something personal in Amanda’s old things (maybe to help get Daniel back) and jack is about to enter, Margot walks up and talks with him tries to explain why he wasn’t at the event, that they had an intruder at the stowaway and that Carl is somewhere safe, they kiss whilst Emily watches. Victoria asks Aiden if Emily went to Jack, he says she just sat on the porch, he says that he knows who broke into the garage to tamper the brakes and that the code was one of the children. Victoria tells Conrad that she knows who tried to kill him, it was Charlotte who tampered with the breaks because of her feelings for Declan, Conrad says this ends here and no one else will know and he forgives her and all he wants is for them to be family again, she goes to him and they hug, with a smarmy look from Victoria. Aiden tells Emily that Patrick is the one that cut the lines and that Victoria will deal with it, cover it up and that she is obsessed with him. Emily tells Aiden she is sorry for making him feel used and that she needs him and that he means everything to him, they kiss. Emily walks into her room and sees Daniel packing his things to leave, she is carrying something and needs to talk to him and hands him a picture of a little girl with her parents (its Amanda’s family), she starts to talk about her childhood and gives Daniel the one thing he needs a personal connection to her past, she cries as she talks saying it’s hard for her to talk about the past and hard for her to trust due to her past, how having her parents killed in an accident she feels the need to push people away, they then hug and the wedding is back on. As we finish Victoria goes to find Patrick but he is not at the gallery, he is with Nolan, they kiss and more.
Episode 6 Dissolution
We open with Emily and Daniel in bed and Emily looking at her ring, she says she is going for a swim but goes to Nolan’s house and sees Patrick run off and the place is looking a bit messy, Nolan is in the bath and has headphones on, he explains that he and Patrick are kind of an item as they are the same. Jack is updating the bar and writing on the board, charlotte has helped with the remodel and the place will be more popular, he calls Emily to tell her that charlotte lied and that she is protecting him. Victoria has called a huge family breakfast, but sends Patrick away, the breakfast is for the forthcoming wedding, the honeymoon will be a family cruise for them all, Charlotte asks Daniel for help with getting the stowaway going, Conrad announces that Grayson Manor has been sold and this upsets Victoria and by the looks of it Emily as well, The wedding was supposed to be at the manor, but it has already been sold and it messes up the plans. Having a discussion with Aiden about how it puts a spanner in the works and that the only solution maybe to take down the actual house. Victoria confronts Patrick about how he tampered with the car and she loves him for trying to take Conrad away from the solution and she says that he has covered it and he is safe, he hugs her and says “I love you Mum!” to which she is happy with.
Charlotte and Daniel are sorting things out for the Stowaway, he walks in for the cake and he sees Sarah the girl whose life he ruined by wrapping a car round a tree, she is walking and angry at him for crushing her spine, she shouts at him for the fact she has medical expenses that are not covered and he leaves. Emily is looking through files and looks at one ‘TRACT 3752-011’ she takes it out and swaps it for another one and then leaves. Patrick goes to see Nolan about not returning his calls, Nolan seems serious and they start to talk about how they feel they have something special, but how it’s complicated with the situation they are both in, but Patrick says that nothing should get in the way and they kiss. Daniel and Charlotte talk about Sarah and how she has all these medical bills that a clause in the settlement Conrad and Victoria drew up means it’s not all paid for like they thought and when Daniel goes to investigate, Charlotte rings up to complain about Sarah and probably gets her sacked. Conrad is talking with the estate agent about the sale of the house, she is now angling for something more from him, but he resists, just in time for Victoria to turn up. Daniel is looking over the medical forms and the settlement his parents set in place when Emily calls to say they have foundation issues at the property, so it is best he stays in the city, as she hangs up, Aiden who is there with her knocks a hole in the wall, then they get a little closer. Nolan confesses to Jack about the fact he has not done as Emily said and is seeing Patrick and when Jack says that Patrick tried to kill Conrad, he reacts and says to Jack he knows Emily is Amanda and that he is fed up of lying to his friend and that now they both know the truth (Nolan really likes Patrick, I would hate for Nolan to get hurt yet again).
The estate agent is taking pictures of the property and spies the work going on at the house, she explains that it might be a problem with the side of the island, making her doubt the sale of the manor. Jack walks in to see Nolan, he is returning his phone to him as it was left when he was chucked out of the bar, Jack asks how long Nolan has known, he explains he has always known as he promised David to look after her, Jack extends his hand and says they are still friends, he warns him about Patrick and how he could harm charlotte, Nolan decides he has to let him go, Jack says he will take care of it for him (Nolan truly believes he may be the one). Charlotte turns up at Sarah’s door, Sarah says she was fired and Charlotte explains that Emily was the one who gave the details of the accident to the magazine, Sarah says she still has feelings for Daniel even after all the things he has put her through.
It seems that the shoreline disappearing makes it so the buyer doesn’t want the manor, she has a document from the filing system Emily was at, saying no one will buy the house now that he has tried to hide the fact the beach is eroding away, Victoria says she is moving out of the house and will be gone by weeks end. Jack talks to Conrad, he is going to try to declare a ceasefire and ensures Charlotte’s safety (telling him about Patrick I believe). Daniel is proud of Charlotte and still is after she shows that she hired Sarah at the Stowaway, he says the lawyers made it so that only the hospital expenses were paid for. Nolan tells Emily that Jack knows about Nolan knowing and is helping get rid of Patrick, they argue about the fact he doesn’t have anyone to talk to or help him and he wanted friendship and she doesn’t give him that. Aiden and Victoria are walking through a dark building, he says that she will be happy with what she sees, he turns the light on and the room is filled with gold bars, it says it’s the missing Grayson fortune. Victoria walks into shout at Conrad that there is a warehouse he owns that has all their fortune in, he comes back with the fact Patrick tried to kill him not charlotte. He is not happy that she convinced charlotte to take the blame; he says that Patrick is being dealt with and is out of the picture.
Sarah walks out of the bar and Daniel is sitting waiting for her, they have a talk of how things used to be, he tells her he looked at the settlement and now knows that his parents screwed her over and he apologizes and he wants her forgiveness. Aiden lets Emily know that the Grayson’s have their fortune back and they will be stuck together with it, Emily seems sad about the argument with Nolan and Aiden says all will be well when this is all sorted. Victoria meets with Patrick and she sends him away to keep him safe, she gives him money and tells him where to go and he doesn’t want to go but she forces him to whilst she cries. Nolan and Jack are having a drink and Emily walks in, she says she knows she isn’t good at expressing herself, she says they are the most important people to her and that when it is all over she will be gone for good, she can’t stay, she stands there and she wants to tell them everything including the fact that Victoria will go down for the murder of Emily Thorne (now this is interesting that she plans on getting shot, you remember that small bit at the start of the season well does it all go to plan?)
Episode 7 Resurgence
We start with a boat in the dark, Aiden and Emily are getting things ready for the final part of her plan, and she sees she will never see Nolan or Charlotte again. Victoria and Conrad talk about the fact that if Victoria wants Patrick safe she has to stay by his side, Conrad is upping his image and the planner woman, wants to know why they have not been on the map with all the wedding stuff, she wants to know more about Emily and use everything she could to help get Conrad on the map. Miss Busy Preston (laughable name) wants to show Victoria and Emily on a more friendly front to help the image, both show a look of annoyance which Busy says “that look, that is what I need!” (she is over happy, something might happen to her). Jack and Margot are having a chat, Jack has brought her some Macaroons to welcome her back, which she accepts as they talk, he asks her out and she reluctantly accepts. Emily says about the PR woman and says how it puts a spanner in the plan, she mentions her name and she is responsible for ruining something for him including his relationship with his father, they decide Busy is their next target for revenge, they finish the conversation by Emily saying its time they found out about her first husband (oh now I was not expecting that).
Sarah brings out cupcakes to Jack and discuss how she is a breath of fresh air, Daniel comes in to ask Sarah to make his wedding cake, she is reluctant but thinks about it. Busy talks to Emily about a blogger claiming Emily was married before, she shows shock and says how she was young and it was a mistake and that Victoria can never find out (ooh I can’t wait to see where this leads). Aiden comes out of the shower, Victoria is waiting for him and sees him in all his glory, (she doesn’t react so maybe he is not her type). She starts to go on about the publicist ruining her plans for stopping the wedding, she orders him to get back in Emily’s life and bed. Nolan says he has learned a lot from Emily, he would have just ignored problems in the past and she has helped him move past it and stand up for himself. Jack and Margot are watching an old movie under the stars, she is laughing and they are both relaxed, they kiss and he pulls back says they should enjoy the movie, she leaves as he won’t tell her what is bothering her. Aiden says that Victoria has ordered him to drive a wedge between them, she says if they do it’s on their own terms. Sarah has done a cake tasting so they can decide on a wedding cake, Emily has to go for lunch with Victoria and Daniel announces that the cake is for Sarah to make, she feels so honoured and thinks Emily is so grown up about it all. Jack and Nolan are talking about the date with Margot and how she left in the middle of it, he reluctantly says he blew it and Nolan knows it because he is not over the death of Amanda yet.
Conrad is talking to Margot about an exclusive about him being back, Margot says she is not up for that she is not for advertising his coming back, that she wants access to archives. Emily and Victoria are at lunch talking about how they can look friendly and help the campaign, Aiden turns up and Emily is not pleased, so Victoria insists that Emily talks with Aiden, Busy lets slip about the previous marriage and Victoria wants to look into it and that the party tonight will have fireworks. We move onto the party and Victoria goes on about how Aiden took Emily away from the lunch, Daniel laughs it off. Charlotte turns up with Sarah to which Victoria is not happy with, Charlotte has a plan to use Sarah to stop the wedding, suddenly Victoria might like this idea. Nolan walks into the party and says hello to Busy and her husband, putting on a happy face to see her and how it dredges up the past. We leave the party momentarily to see jack place flowers on Amanda’s grave (he truly misses her and the love they had) he feels he needs to move on even though it is really hard to do. Busy needs to look at her phone to see the time of a meeting on Monday for Emily and Nolan lends her his glasses, after which he walks away to get her a drink and taps a few buttons on the side and plays back her pin code (naughty, naughty). Daniel seems interested in Sarah a bit more than he should be, Victoria sees this and see’s that Aiden is no longer needed in her plans, Jack talks to Margot about the date and then some fireworks are set off. Daniel takes his jacket out to Sarah and they sit chatting about the old days and how things used to be, they almost kiss but Sarah turns away. Nolan looking at Busy’s phone finds out she is having an affair with someone called Trevor. It now seems Jack is moving on with Margot. Aiden walks into his room to see Victoria is chucking him out, he is no longer needed for her (which means she likes Charlotte’s idea). Nolan is talking to Busy about the fact that he wants Payback, he sent an email to all her clients and put her out of business, that he owns her now and talks about her affair with Trevor, he says she has to end the affair today or he will tell her husband the truth. Victoria shows up at Sarah’s place to apologise for her words, she is there to say that she thinks Sarah is the one for Daniel and to get her to work with her to stop the wedding. Nolan and Emily sit having a drink to celebrate the demise of Busy, even though he saved her marriage, she says he is a real friend, they then see that they caught footage of Daniel and Sarah and that could be a problem, they need to stop them becoming close.
So that was the first 7 episodes of season 3 of Revenge recapped ready for season 4 to start, Questions we may have so far are: – How did Nolan survive Prison? Is Patrick really Victoria’s son? Is Margot a spanner in the works or just a new person in the mix? Does Daniel really love Emily or will he go back to Sarah? What is happening with Charlotte she only seems loyal to Jack these days? Will Emily’s plan go well and will it be Victoria who shoots her? Will she survive? Only way to find out is to stay tuned for the next seven episodes that I am getting to work on straight away, I hope you have enjoyed.
