The first reviews from the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) are in!
Paramount Pictures latest flick ‘Men, Women and Children’, directed by Jason Reitman, has just premiered at TIFF. This is Reitman’s first time directing a larger ensemble of actors, a few being more well known.
Indiewire.com has put out the first review that we have seen:
“An “American Beauty”-type portrait of suburban families dealing with various domestic frustrations, “Men, Women & Children” drifts between several parents and children, exploring various interlocking stories of characters whose online habits cause innumerable problems — and bring existing ones to the surface.
Jason Reitman’s “Men, Women and Children” puts a lot of effort into making a grand statement about our dangerously fragmented times. Unfortunately, the movie falls short of its big ideas.”
Overall, he graded the film at a C-.

The movie opens for limited release October 1st, then hits theaters nationwide on October 17, 2014. I think I am going to watch it for myself before I pass judgment.
