The Batman in the Full Batsuit

The Batman director Matt Reeves has finally revealed the Batsuit!  We have been patiently waiting since May 2019, when Robert Pattinson was first announced as being cast as Bruce Wayne, to see which direction Reeves was taking him in.  I know I’m not disappointed with the outcome.  The question is: how will the overzealous DC Comic fans react?  Some fans have been hesitant to agree with Pattinson’s role in the film, will this first glimpse change their minds?

The Costume

Set to music from the film’s composer, Michael Giacchino, Reeves camera test showcases the batsuit in a red light . He seems to highlight the parts of the suit that are most distinguishable; the collar, the cape and the chest piece.  It almost feels like there is a vintage look to the pieces.  It very well could be.  However, since little is known of the plot as of now, we can all make our own assumptions as to what will actually happen. Now the question is, with this reveal, is outside shooting just days away?

Cast

Pattinson is joined by an amazing list of actors, which includes: Zoe Kravitz  as Catwoman, Paul Dano as Riddler, Colin Farrell as The Penguin, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon, Andy Serkis as Alfred and Peter Sarsgaard as Gotham City DA.

Opening day is set for June 25, 2021.  Can Warner Bros and this cast pull off a great standalone film?  I guess we will just have to wait to see!!
