Recap: DC’s Legends of Tomorrow 506: Mister Parker’s Cul-De-Sac
Legends of Tomorrow 506: Mr. Parker’s Cul-De-Sac sees the return of Damien Darhk, a wedding, puppets, and one of the biggest gut punch cold endings in DCTV
Flashback
Legends 506: Mister Parker’s Cul-De-Sac begins with a Beebo flashback. Gary(Adam Tsekhman) is in 1847, cleaning up Beebo bits, when, on a ridge, he sees a form, but the sun’s in his eyes. He shades his eyes and sees…
More Than Pizza From Mister Parker
Ray(Brandon Routh) has a surprise for Nora(Courtney Ford). He is proposing at Constantine’s(Matt Ryan) house, after a dinner prepared by Gary, who blinks out of existence, because Salvation 1847 has an Encore, and it tied him up to a train track.
Constantine Prepares to Get Cold-de-Sac
Charlie(Maisie Richardson-Sellers) doesn’t want John searching for the Loom of fate, and takes Nate’s(Nick Zano) form to trick him into thinking that part of the Loom is buried in Antarctica, to get him off the scent. Charlie does mention a very real explorer, Ernest Shackleton. John has also stopped smoking, and thinks that spitting sunflower seeds all over the library is healthier.
Mick Has a Troll
Mick(Dominic Purcell) is trashing his quarters on the waverider because someone is on the internet, trashing his Rebecca Silver books.
Sara(Caity Lotz) tasks Zari(Tala Ashe) with helping him.
Zari tracks down the troll, and Mick finds out it is a teen girl, not a boy.
Also, it’s his daughter with Ali(Lisa Marie DiGiaicinto).
Her name is Lita(Mina Sundwall), after Lita Ford.
Mick faints, much to Zari’s amusement.
Inside, Ali explains that every time she tried to find Mick to tell him, he was in jail.
Thinking the two would be better off without him, he wipes their memory.
Gary Plays Chicken With the Train
Ava’s(Jes Macallan) Prognosticator announces the Encore, and she and Sara arrive just in time to save 2018 Gary, who tells them who the Encore is.
Daddy’s Home
At Constantine’s house, there’s a knock at the door. Nora answers(thinking maybe it’s pizza?) It’s Damien Darhk(Neal McDonough), her father and mahjor foe to the Legends and Arrow. He is Astra’s Encore.
Nick-the real one-catches John just before he sets off, and John angrily decides to go to his house to research ALONE.
Except, y’know, for all the Darhks and whatnot eating a nine course meal there. Oh, and Ava and Sara.
Mr Parker is Nora’s Dirty Secret From Daddy
Nora tells Ray to leave with her fairy godmother charge, Pippa(Madeline Hirvonen), so she can deal with her father. Ray pays Pippa $20.00 to watch his favorite childhood show, Mr. Parker’s Cul-de-sac(it’s a circle, our friendship will be universal).
She begins an elaborate web of lies to convince her father she is evil and that the crew is her henchmen/women/people. It culminates with announcing John is her boyfriend.
Speaking of secrets, Sara has been offered a job in Star City, but neglected to tell Ava.
The Ring is in The Mousse!
Back on the ship, Behrad(Shayan Sobhian) and Nick are giving Ray a “you rushed into this too early” talk. The talk also reminds him that he put a ring in the mousse.
Mister Parker’s Cul-De-Sac
Ray gets to John’s house, and all of Nora’s lies unravel. Ava chokes on the ring, making Damien think John was going to propose.
Nora declines the proposal, and admits everything. Blaming Nora’s friends for her change in character, Damien gets angry and fights the team, finding out Khan’s sword is a hellsword in the process. At that moment, Pippa wishes that she wants them all on Mr. Parker’s Cul-De-Sac.
There, as puppets, trains, and in a calm setting, Damien comes to accept what his daughter is, Sara explains the job offer, John and Charlie come to an understanding, and Nick is the happy sun. Pippa releases Nora, and Nora accepts Ray’s proposal.
The Wedding
Life being what it is for superheroes, Nora suggest they get married right now, much to Ray’s delight.
Captain Sara marries them, and Damien tells Ray that Nora needs to be off the ship, and he needs to be with her.
Sharing one last moment with his daughter, Damien leaves. Sara confronts him before can get out the door, and he confirms that Astra sent him to collect souls, but he wants his daughter happy and safe.
Too late, Sara sees that he has stolen Khan’s sword, and as she opens the door, sees Damien stab himself with it and turn to dust. Taking the sword, she looks as his ashes ascend. Was it the wind, or did he redeem himself enough by making the ultimate sacrifice for his daughter?
