Seth Rogen’s ultra violent and darkly funny AMC series, Preacher, has been renewed by the cable channel for a third season. This means that we will find out Tulip’s(Ruth Negga) fate, and how Jesse(Dominic Cooper) handles Lara(Julie Ann Emery) for what she did. Will Jesse and Cassidy(Joseph Gilgun) patch up their bromance? And what is Herr Starr’s(Pip Torrens) endgame? And what is The Saint of Killers(Graham McTavish) going to do in hell as Eugene’s(Ian Colletti) replacement? Hallelujah, We Got the News
Fans felt like they were left hanging after the season 2 finale, with no news. News of permits to film season 3 had been filed in New Orleans back in the summer. Rumors flew about whether or not the show was continuing forward, until Seth tweeted “SEASON 3!” with no further explanation needed.
Now fans are wondering how Tulip, Jesse, and Cassidy will reunite, and maybe how Tulip can return at all.
Will Ruth Negga’s role be limited in any upcoming season? Her demand will most likely increase in Hollywood as a result of her Hollywood buzz?
A Big Loss for Preacher
One sad bit of most noteworthy news regarding the renewal is the loss of Dave Blass as Production Designer. He tweeted out he would only be watching as a fan, as he is now working on Hulu’s paranormal comic adaptation Locke & Key in Canada. It will be a blow to the AMC series, as his work(as seen on multiple shows like Preacher and NBC’s Constantine) becomes a character on the show.
In conclusion, we hope many questions will be addressed or answered in the upcoming season about Jesse, Tulip, Herr Starr and the rest.
