New The Batman Movie set photos
Just how big are these sets going to be?
A Twitter user by the name of Cardington Sheds has shared some photos of the sheds for the sets being used for the upcoming The Batman movie. These are possibly the first The Batman movie set photos that have emerged. The name of the account refers to two airship building sheds at former Cardington air force base in Bedfordshire, England. They are now often used by movies to build large sets.
Wonder what it looks like in here now? What does a Cathedral in a shed look like???
Each door is 400 tons by the way….#Batman pic.twitter.com/fdICb2ZZDf

The tweet shows a 400 ton shed and the sheer magnitude of it from inside. He’s posted others that give a sense of scale, like the one below.
Pre shed 1 restoration. For scale here I am standing at the centre in a yellow vest after a sponsored walk. I am 6ft 2" tall…..#Batman pic.twitter.com/hmTN6ZLifL

Another tweet from the same user mentions that while DC property The Batman is filming in one shed, scenes from Marvel’s upcoming Black Widow movie filmed in the other.
No more information has been shared, but it’s fun to speculate what scenes may shoot in these larger than life buildings. They have a considerable movie pedigree, having hosted scenes from everything from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang to Justice League. It also played home to sets for Christopher Nolan’s trilogy of Batman movies. So they are no stranger to the Dark Knight.
