Queen
I finally watched the movie about Queen, Bohemian Rhapsody, last night and I loved it. So that made me think why not do a post with all my favorite songs by them. I have always been a Queen fan, thanks to my mom. She used to listen to them all the time when I was growing up. Hell I even remember watching the Live Aid event on TV back in the 80s. Sit back and enjoy this fun little trip into my favorite Queen songs.
My Favorites
First up is “I Want To Break Free”. I am not sure why I love this so much, but I do. I just love the chorus about breaking free from life. I feel like in so many ways we all can relate to this one. The video for this is classic 80’s awful amazingness.
My next favorite is also one of my son’s favorite song by Queen, “Bicycle Race”. It’s simple, crazy, fun lyrics are catchy and light.
Before “Baby Got back” we had “Fat Bottom Girls” and seriously how could you not love this song. Being a fat bottom girl myself I love it. We do make the world go round.
This next one will always make me a little sad. It reminds me of the first time I heard it, which was when my Uncle Matt played it for me. I will always think of him when I hear it. Rest In Peace Uncle Matt, Love and miss you.
We all want one thing in life, love, and this song is what they are singing about. Asking for, “Somebody To Love”.
My list won’t be any good if I don’t have this next one on it. “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” is such a fun song. I always bob my head and wanna dance when I hear it.
These last three are like a three-way tie cause I love them all equally. “We Will Rock You”, “We are the Champions” and “Bohemian Rhapsody” are all classic popular Queen songs.
Congrats
Just wanted to added a little Congrats to Rami Malek on his Oscar win for Best Actor. Beyond happy for him.
