Marvel Confirms Daredevil & S.H.I.E.L.D. Connection

Marvels Original Netflix series Daredevil

In a recent interview, Joseph Loeb, Marvel Television executive, finally confirmed that the worlds of its newest Netflix series Daredevil will have a connection with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.  When Marvel and Netflix first revealed this teaser back in February, fans were questioning how the connection could be possible.

Carl “The Crusher” Creel, also known as the Absorbing Man, is the villain in Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.  So could they possibly be the same person, when there would be such a difference in age?

“If you look at it, there’s actually a very critical line, which is, ‘Battlin’ Jack is doing very well against a much younger fighter,’” Loeb told IGN. “So the idea is, we looked at it from the point of view of, Mike Tyson was the heavyweight champion when he was 18 years old. [Brian Patrick Wade], who plays him in the show, looks like he’s in his mid-30s, so there was enough time for us to be able to say, ‘There’s no reason why that isn’t the same person.’”

I guess in the world of Marvel, anything is possible.  The series premieres on Netflix this Friday, April 10, with all thirteen episodes available!
