Liam Payne goes in Wand Direction as he buys Harry Potter’s flying car

Ok let’s be honest. If you could own a flying car, especially the famed blue one from Harry Potter you would, even if it didn’t actually fly right?

When you are Liam Payne from 1D you can actually make that happen, and yes we are slightly jealous.

The 1D heart throb believes in living while he’s young, so why not live out his Harry Potter dreams!

So when Liam Payne celebrated his 22nd birthday this year we saw how much of a Harry Potter fan he was. He had a Hogwarts-themed bash and spell-book cake.

But we didn’t know the lengths his obsession has gone to.

The 1D star has forked out a six figure sum for the motor Harry and Ron fly in the Chamber of Secrets film, and keeps it at the Surrey mansion.

“I bought the Harry Potter car and I put it in my garden,” Liam reveals – although he is yet to confirm whether it sits beneath a Whomping Willow.

Speaking to Nick Grimshaw on today’s Radio 1 breakfast show, he adds:

“You know the blue car, the flying car? I bought one because I’m a bit of a geek.”

Liam is now the proud owner of one of the battered Ford Anglia 105Es used in the making of the film – around 15 were said to have been used in filming.

One resides at the Warner Brothers Studio Tour London, and another lives at the National Motor Museum in Beaulieu.

Not only does he have Arthur Weasley’s enchanted motor, Liam’s also a fully fledged member of Harry’s school house, Gryffindor.

“I did the test on the website,” he admits in today’s interview where the lads join Grimmy.

“My friend got Hufflepuff and I got Gryffindor. He was so annoyed.”

As you would be. Wizards aren’t the only fictional characters the multimillionaires of One Direction splash their cash on.

Louis Tomlinson converted an entire room in his home to a games zone, complete with life-size statues of Spider-Man and Iron Man. He also has a ping pong table, a pinball machine, snooker table and several arcade games at his £3million North London home.

Liam’s pad – which he purchased for £5.1million earlier this year – has its own cinema, heated outdoor swimming pool and a tennis court.

It sounds like these guys have the best homes ever…

When do you think they would let us come and visit? Here’s hoping our invites didn’t get lost and we get to see at least Liam’s house and the famed car in person.

What do you think of these amazing purchases? If you could, would you want to buy a piece from your favorite movie, let us know in the comments below.
