The annual Met Gala, a fundraising event for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute was held earlier this week and the stars of Hollywood all arrived in style. Anna Wintour, the editor-in-chief for Vogue, has been the chair of the event since 1995.
Each year a new theme is chosen and the stars are to dress in costume. Nine times out of ten, you will see them dressed as if they are going to an awards show and NOT a “costume” party. The 2015 Gala and its theme of “China: Through the Looking Glass” became the subject of a documentary directed by Andrew Rossi produced by Condé Nast Entertainment,Vogue and Relativity Studios. Now even though the celebs looked amazing (for the most part), my choice this week is to go with the couples that made their presence known on the carpet. Even though they may not have dressed in theme, they rocked the carpet and stood out, making them my choice for the week.
